K1 Visa Status Questions

13 posts in this topic

When I checked my status of my receipt number last week, I saw at least 5 steps. Acceptance, Initial Review, RFE, Decision and Post Decision Activity. Today when I checked again at USCIS, I didn't see the RFE. What does this mean? Does it mean they will no be sending me a RFE?

I don't think they know already that there will be no RFE and so it is removed. Maybe they decided not to freak people out by giving them the advanced notice they got an RFE and will just make the people wait until the actual notice arrives in the mail. That way the person will immediately know what the reason for the RFE is.

I noticed the same thing. I was hoping it meant we were past that stage, but since it seems everyone else has it too I'm guessing they just changed the site.

Question: How do you know if your application has been touched? I don't see anything with a date on ours...

I noticed the same thing. I got a RFE but didn't get the letter yet and now I don't see the RFE anymore. There's just Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision and Post decision and my case isn't on any step. Is that how it appears to you too?

Before you enter your receipt number you see more steps: acceptance, initial review, RFE, review of RFE response, decision, etc etc. But when you enter your case number there's only like four steps. Thast's what I've noticed: it says different things before and after you enter your #.

I agree with everyone. My case states of the RFE that I was sent 3 weeks ago. I returned the required evidence that they wanted. I recently called the number on the website and actually spoke to a live person. According to this "officer" he stated to me that my evidence was recieved a week after I mailed it. But, the website still states that there has been no change in my status. Not even that they have recieved the evidence like what I was able to get before. Hopefully we all are just going to get approved due to there error in updating the system. Good Luck To All!!!!

The USCIS changed it's website so for the K1 there are less steps shown. Do not put too much into it because they do not update the status regularly. Many people get approved while their status still shows initial review.
