Westboro Baptist Church, the notorious "Gods Hates Fags" congregation out of Kansas, will be in San Diego next week to rain down 45 minutes of eternal and inconsequential damnation upon your idolatrous worship of Spider-Man and Green Lantern.

This appears to be an opportunistic double, as the same day the same group is scheduled to picket a San Diego hotel where Al Gore is, I guess, staying. The "action" is listed for July 22 on the group's schedule of events:

Are you kidding?! If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible, well no high hopes here. They have turned comic book characters into idols, and worship them they do! Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. It is time to put away the silly vanities and turn to God like you mean it. The destruction of this nation is imminent - so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry.

One of my best friends is at Comicon this week (for work! it's for work!) (okay, she's also a total dork) and I asked her what she thought of the whole Westboro thing. She said she'll be too busy working her ####### off, doing 18 hour days, to pay any attention to these freaks.

This being a christian country you are supposed to be producing these irresistible armpit pheromone scents as created by god in order to please the other gender (I don't say sex because I am English)

Takes all kinds of course. I once had an aerobics instructor and when she got down wind of me she said she like the smell of a 'real male'. Right response but she was a bit butch and had to go.

Anyway my mother said only dirty people have baths.
