As long as you got married within the 90 day window then you can submit your AOS petition. The general requirement that you have to maintain your non-immigrant status in order to adjust status does not apply to the spouse of a US citizen.

When your AOS petition is accepted by USCIS (when you get the NOA1 notice) then you will be granted a period of authorized stay; i.e., you will no longer be out of status. Until then, don't go near any place where you might encounter any US immigration officials. It's highly unlikely they would try to deport you, since you're eligible to adjust status, but they can still give you a rough time.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
