Depends on the boss. You have to weigh your opposition first.

I've actually called out/told off a couple of bosses in my days so far. I knew who they were and called them out where they were wrong. Not a hard thing to do at all. Would I do it to my current boss though? No. Not unless I had another job lined up.

I went up against several of my superiors and kept my job. I got a promotion out of two events where I did it. If you do it right, you can even benefit from it.

The military, collectively, has the average of the biases of it's individual members. If liberals have disowned the military, and refuse to join it in any significant numbers, they can hardly be surprised when the military turns out to be overwhelmingly conservative, now can they?

Do you even know how silly that is? Every individual has the right to their own opinion, but the armed forces as an institution is apolitical. As to the idea that the majority of people in the army share some kind of conservative party political ideology, do you realize how insane that makes you seem?

it's not about supporting it, i'm telling you what i've seen in my 45+ years of being around the military (18 years as a military brat, 20 years active duty, 10 years retired and working around the military).

generally speaking, the perception within the military is that the republicans tend to take care of the military better than the democrats. during my 20 years, i did see more pay raises when a republican president was in office than when a democrat one was. i also saw the "hollow army" that carter gave us, which i've mentioned several times, in that my first duty assignment had more vehicles than people in it.

but i'm sure you know better about everything anyways.
