I'm finally going to call the CSC today to request an update on my AOS application. My AOS got transferred to them in Feb, and has not been looked at since March 4. Counting November when my case was received by the USCIS...It has been a total of 8 months now (5 since it was transferred), and my status still states "initial review". I'm extremely nervous, but Im tired of waiting and want to know what is going on. I will keep ya'll posted on how it goes. Wish me luck!

I just got off of the phone with the CSC and it gave me the same information that I already have access to by using their website. The only thing mentioned differently was: to wait 180 days from the date of my AOS transfer before inquiring about my case...I dont understand, has anyone else come across this problem? Like I said it has been well over 180 days since the USCIS received my case...But it has only been 118 since it has been transferred. I just dont get why the cases that have been at the CSC as long as mine are not being processed yet, when they are approving others that have been there 4 months and under. Im so frustraited.

Umm I am not sure. Usually USCIS says that you can call and get answers if your case hasn't been "looked at", i.e. updated or worked on, for over 60 days, which seems to be the case for you. At the same time though, I think they told you to wait 180 days because that seems to be the processing time for AOS at CSC. I would call and try to talk to someone different! Maybe someone more expert than me can help a little more?
