Confused about my NOA 2

I finally recieved my NOA 2 and am highly confused about what it sais. All that I've read has stated that after the NVC recieves notification that the process is done at USCIS, they will contact me where I decide whether I myself am who will be acting as the agent for the rest of the process, or I can designate someone else (and I pay 80 dollars or something). However, this notice states:

"The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps."

Why would that be?

First off...congrats  !!! Now back to business. Don't worry about what it says. They will also telly ou to wait until you are blue in the face...but we all know that this isn't necessary. If you read this guide, you will know what to do next:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

It should take about a week from your NOA2 notice date for NVC to have your case number. Of course you can always check before that. Expect a busy tone.

I hope that makes sense and helps you.

Why would that be?

as the "petitioner" your job is done. they need to contact the beneficiary to have them designate there "agent of choice" (Ds-3032). If they choose the petitioner, then your job re-starts. It is just how the process works

YMMV

it's some standard template to use, no sweat about it.

MOST PEOPLE set up the Agent of Choice form, DS-3032, which then 'allows' the petitioner to follow up all paperwork processing at NVC, on BEHALF of the Beneficiary.

Sure, NVC will 'contact' yer spouse, if you DO NOTHING - about 3 months after receiving the casefile from USCIS - but .

MOST PEOPLE want to be pro-active, get as much speed as humanly possible when doing NVC Processing.

I've fleshed out a mini-how-to, for handling stuff @ NVC with the online payment portal - have a read?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

and let's assume that you want to read up on NVC Stuff, as well -

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

IMO, wait 2 weeks from NOA-2 notice date, then start calling NVC (per that mini-how-to)

GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
