Actually they try to bite me, hence the 3rd picture :bonk:

The trick with turtles is to treat them like raw chicken. You wash your hands after touching them and you don't put them in your mouth :hehe:

!!!!!!!! OMFG I thought you said 'eat them like raw chicken'... I almost had a hernia. :o

I love those pics though... they are too cute. I really want to get a turtle!

 I know!!! I think it's the novelty of it all

What a cute turtle!! I lived with a gal many years ago that had two of them, and she used to feed them small fish. It was...interesting..lol.

We're getting ready to go to WV and PA in a couple days! We'll be touring the Amish, and the country roads with all those quaint covered bridges, a couple of live theaters..and off to Hershey!! I can't wait...I think it's going to be a great trip!

Congrats on your new fridge Peachey! I can't wait till we start doing some reno's around here. Tim's house really needs a lot of help. I got him a new computer, and it's wireless! We had no idea at the time. I'm going to get one for me later too! :)

The turtles are just so cute, I would love one. I never really looked into what it takes to take care of one never mind 16.

We just got a new baby bird. A green cheek conure. We named it Pistachio we haven't had her blood drawn yet to see if she's a she or a he. We just keep adding to our ZOO too, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a guinea pig, and about 20 or so fish and a pile are pregnant.

Peachey- Yay new freezer means you can do lots of baking, or buy in baulk I do both lol.

Joyce- Have fun.

Every now and then my dad will send me an envelope filled with clippings from the newspaper back home that he thinks I will enjoy - often a lot of comics, political commentary (from the Canadian viewpoint) and such. Every now and then he will put in something special - like a letter I wrote home when I was away working for the summer in Saskatchewan or a birthday card I made for my Mom when I was 5 years old :star:. Today I received another envelope stuffed with interesting cartoons and clippings - and a listing of auctions back home. That was fun but it made me realize how much I miss auctions - they don't have them here :(. The thing that got me both laughing and crying at the same time is he also put in a Tim Horton's donut bag! Heheheheh - yep a donut bag (sorry Charles, it was empty!), but all the same it was such a fun surprise. :P

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
