Any one have an opinion on which of the E-books are better than the others?? Kindle?? Nook, or the Sony one. Parents don't want the Ipad, just need something easy to use for strictly book reading. thanks

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

My husband is constantly reading, and he's looking at the Nook. Something about the Kindle only being able to read things from Amazon's specific format, whereas the Nook has some type of open format that can read books from other sellers or locations. I guess with the Nook you can 'borrow' or rent books instead of purchase also, and you can get free books from some websites.

We are running out of shelf space in our house, so this is great for eliminating the copious number of trade paperback book purchases and keeping the purchases to just the hardcover, reference, or more collectible books.

Feb. 7 2005 -- SS card comes in mail (re-applied in person Jan. 25 after DS-230 application resulted in nothing)

my little iPod clone has nice reader in it, with software to convert on a pc to it's format. it's not bad, but the screen is about 2.5 inches square. I'll put notes in it , but only tried 3 books.

I'm a fan of books, though - if he/she doesn't like to pay retail, full price - then suggest to learn where the local used book store is, or make friends with the librarian, learn when the book sales will be.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Its actually for my parents back in Canada!! Was leaning towards Barnes&Nobles Nook, until i read its not totally supported in Canada!
