You might still get a July, just depends on how busy your embassy is. Remember, the operators are (for the most part) simply reading from a script. We have noticed (some of us have been around since February!) that there are some folks who get interview dates all the thru to the end of the month. Don't give up hope yet! IMO, the waiting between SIF/LIF and actually finding out your initerview date is worse than all the other waits, so be prepared. Think it has something to do with this being the last wait before you can start planning your life again. Of course, we haven't gotten to the wait for the visa to be sent, either!

I am still around. Just waiting for that date and don't have much to say cause I am really starting to feel a little down about all this processing again. :(

Hang in there!

Thanks for your reply about the letters.

I do agree with you as far as June being a bit less busy. There were few people who never reported if they got approved or anything. Perhaps that is why it seemed slow. Week 2 people are next. Goodluck to them and the rest of us whose time is coming soon as well :star:

Are you flying over for the interview? (Grabbed the wrong one to quote! Thought I had the one about the interview time frame.)

If its me you are asking about flying to the interview, yes I am and that's why I am so anxious. I need to get 2-3 weeks off from WalMart during the busy vacation season and the less notice I give the harder it will be. But if I have to work until the day before the flite and then say I'm not coming back, I will. I can find another job when I get back. It is too important to us for me to be with him (MENA country and I am older).

Can anybody tell me how long it takes these days to get a NVC case number off the automated telephone system after getting approved?

I saw it's even under a week for those who got approved around march/april.

Le sigh.

I always thought it was just a little over a week. No idea exactly what it is now, but pinging the NVC AVR is about to be your new hobby, so may as well settle into it now.

The "lovely" operator will tell you 15 days from your NOA2 date. As we have seen on here....NOOOOOOO! It doesn't take that long (usually). I have tried calling them every day since my NOA2 (June 2nd) just for sport. I don't expect anything until June 11th. So...MSD, maybe June 10th for you. Coming up soon. But def call everyday just in case.

- And get to know the nice people that answer the phones! How true that is. Before this is over, you will know your case number, invoice number, and the number to NVC (including all the number options!) You will have a love/hate or hate/love (depending on your day, and how long you have been calling) relationship with the operators before this is over.

Hehehh yeah I already know the NVC phone number and selections on the menu by heart. ^^

But are you guys saying I should request an operator for this? Because I thought I read somewhere to first try and get the NVC number via the automated system and then call for an operator to exchange email addys.

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.
