Haha. That's funny. I am in fact considering journalism as a grad school option. Would love to write a book someday! Thanks for the vote of confidence and for your good wishes.

Who doesn't love Bollywood?

Congrats!!! I know it's a little late, but with Tina back the last month, I haven't been online much. WELCOME HOME!!!!!

Many thanks, Matt--hope you and Tina are doing fantastic!

Thanks, Waiter.

I cannot believe you're still waiting. This sucks. I will definitely keep your family in my prayers. I hope you're reunited soon.

Let me know when your I-130 is approved--I'd be happy to help you through NVC. Definitely read the guides and keep everything ready now so you can at least have a speedy trip through NVC. Good luck and keep me posted! :)

For K-1, he will need the Customs form and the I-94. And the POE envelope as well.

Have you received your Green Card or NOA? We've received our NOA, but no GC yet. It took 3 weeks to get the NOA. She has her SSC and DL, but we got those on our own. Just curious how its going for you.

Cheers!

Hey--I haven't received the 'Welcome Letter' (I assume that's what you mean by NOA) or the Green Card yet. Today is Day 26 since POE. I'm going to call USCIS next Monday.

I did apply for my SS card to be updated to an 'unrestricted' one on 06/04 so I'm expecting that by the end of this week.

I guess you could call it a welcome letter. It says "welcome" on it, LOL. It looks just like the NOA we got from the USCIS back at the beginning and says they received the documents that she gave them at POE. And that we will hear something within 30 days.

We applied at the SS office to change her last name and get the restrictions removed from her card, and her new card showed up about a week later. Lucky for Tina, Wisconsin has receprocity with Germany, so Driver's License was a breeze. Paid the fee, got her picture taken, and it showed up about a week later as well.

Yes, the POE envelope comes with the visa. The I-94 and customs forms will be distributed by the airlines crew prior to landing.
