as u can see in my timeline

our case got transfered to CSC the same day as the biometrics appointment

i got my AP and EAD on january which is 4 months ago

there is no update since then

its taking so long and im so worried...

so i have a few simple questions:

1. how long after the biometrics appointment(or EAD's approval) did your greencard get approved?

2. what does it mean if its taking too long?(theres problems with our case?) and what should we do?

PS: heres our timeline

wow your time line looks almost the same as ours did in 2008. We finally received and RFE in like July of 2009 for a medical, they said the form his was done on was expired, and like a week after submitted it we had card production ordered.

oh damn... i checked ur timeline.. it took u a year to get it all done..

it just dont make any sense to me. because theres ppl i know who needed a RFE too. and they got approved just in a few months..

if its gonna take a whole year for me to get my greencard.. itll feel like im wasting the most precious time of my life. :/

(im 20+ and i need to apply for schools here. i can do anything if i dont have my greencard.)

If things go much longer without any notice, you can initiate a service request on the casefile . Supposedly this can be done via telephone call into USCIS, but I'm a fan of starting a service request during an infopass appointment to yer local USCIS office, face to face.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

what is the best number to call?

I remember doing an infopass regarding our RFE for medical exam. The people at our local USCIS said they can not see the file because it's in CSC. They told us to write dirrectly to CSC.

Did you do a 'service request' or no ? IF yes, you would have gotten some type of confirmation, tracking, or receipt # for the service request, at that USCIS office, with the comment 'You will have response to your service request within 30 days'.
