get green card faster from interview?

Is there anyway you can ask to get your green card faster from the interview if approved?

Do they process the cards their or at a different location?

Most Hawaii interview ppl - that have posted here at VJ - seem to get their Green Card REALLY QUICK, compared to CONUS. Don't know why that is, but there it is.

I'm less interested in the "Hawaii" factor, but intrigued by this stamp technique. Must be the best kept secret in the GC Biz. Let's hear more about it. So right there in the office, the official can put a 2 year Entry/exit stamp right there in the passport?

No - it'll be a stamp good for 1 year. It's extrememly rare that it's done on interview day, but it happens.

Many people receive the approval notice, take it and the passport into local USCIS office via INFOPASS, and have the stamp done there.

Never hurts to try to ask for the stamp anyway

The only reason I can think to say it is because of the option in the timelines.

Many district offices stopped stamping passports because they now want supervisor review on all the cases after the interview. While there are some offices that will stamp the passport, there are some who wont. In fact some offices wont even tell you if you are approved or denied, until you receive online notification.

I think, nowadays is not common to have your passport estamped after your interview. This is commonly isued when you use a POE, as a way to certify that you aré a lpr while you wait for your GC but when you aré use AOS vía you don leed a POE

At the conclusion of the interview, even if you feel confident that everything went smoothly and you have been approved, I would not ask for a stamp. It's like you went to a job interview, feel you nailed it, and the, when shaking hands, ask for an advance to your first paycheck. That may change . . . everything.

As the guy mentioned in our interview, he was recomending approval of our AOS, and unless his supervisor had any problems with our documents, card production would be ordered within a few days. He did asked for my cell number, and said he would call me if any issues were to pop up.

So it seems the days of stamped passports, are not happening as much these days. We did get a e-mail two days later: stating our AOS was approved, and card production was ordered, and also received the welcome to the US letter, a few days after that.
