If we produce nothing but "services" what is the value of the dollar based on?

If the Chinese & others (Mexico, Philippines, etc) stop accepting worthless greenbacks

and we have to start producing our own, that will be because their own consumption

will be able to sustain their own production, something they have been holding back

on so far. If keeping Walmart in business is consistent with their goals they will continue

to do that. If they are not getting the return they want from that they will refuse dollars

and start buying things of REAL value in the US instead. Then WE won't be able to afford

anything sold here or by China.

A drop in the Euro price of $.10 means you will save 100 dollars for every thousand Euros you buy. A decent European vacation will probably run a couple thousand Euros when you consider hotels, food, activities, and airfare (which is often priced in Euros). That means you will be saving a couple hundred dollars. That may be a drop in the bucket to those with yatches, but my wallet feels that.
