Vermont Service Center SLOW??

looking in the timeline section i see that Vermont Service Center is takes 3 months from noa1 to noa2

California Service Center is taking less then 2

this sucks

people with noa1 dates around 2010-03-12 already getting noa2's in California Service Center

while Vermont Service Center is still on 2010-02-01

looking in the timeline section i see that Vermont Service Center is takes 3 months from noa1 to noa2

California Service Center is taking less then 2

this sucks

people with noa1 dates around 2010-03-12 already getting noa2's in California Service Center

while Vermont Service Center is still on 2010-02-01

Both service centers work in intervals,sometimes one is fast,and then the other catches up and takes over.

When we applied back in Nov, VSC was super fast,churning out those NOA2s in a month!! And we all thought we would be lucky as well,but we ended up waiting 4 months.Now CSC is appearing fast but you never know when the tide will change.

Just have to wait and good luck !!

K-1 Visa

11/03/09:I-129F sent to VSC

11/06/09:NOA1

03/02/10:NOA2 !!!

05/24/10:Interview!!-Approved!

POE: 28th June

AOS

07/20/2010: AOS sent

07/21/2010: Received at Chicago Lockbox

07/27/2010:text and email notifications received,cheque cashed!

07/30/2010:NOA1 received for EAD

08/02/2010:NOA1s for AOS/AP received

08/11/2010: AP touched

08/18/2010:I-485 transferred to CSC

08/19/2010:I-485 touched, 08/24: I-485 physically in CSC now,08/25 :I-485 touched

08/27/2010:put in service request with USCIS for Biometrics letter

09/08/2010:AP approved and EAD touched

09/11/2010:AP and EAD touched

09/14/2010:Biometrics walk-in successful (10/01/2010:Original biometrics appt)

09/13/2010:AP last touched

09/14/2010:EAD card production ordered and AOS touched

09/15/2010:EAD and AOS touched

09/20/2010:Received AP in the mail

09/24/2010:EAD in mail

10/13/2010:GC card production ordered

10/14 and 10/15: AOS touched

10/20/2010: GC received- Done with USCIS till June,2012

A good thing is also not to compare or check CSC related threads since there is nothing you can do about that. Based on the Immigration Timeline infos and that particular graph showing the average time from NOA1 and NOA2, it looks like VSC is catching up and speeds up a bit...

They are speeding up again. The time frame for awhile was about 100 days. Mine was just approved at 72 days. :)

USCIS received packet on 2-8-10

NOA 1: Received 2-16-10

NOA 2: Approved 4-29-10 (72 Days)

NVC Forwarded Petition to London- 5-6-10

NVC Letter Received: 5-7-1010

London Received Packet: 5-14-10

London Mailed Packet to Rob: 5-18-10

Packet 3 Received by Rob: 5-22-2010

Packet 3 paperwork mailed to Rob 6-12-10

Medical- July 8, 2010

Everything mailed to Embassy 7-19-10

Interview Date: 9-14-10- Approved pending non-machine washed replacement passport.

Entry to US- 10-6-10 POE- Newark

Wedding- 10-23-10

AOS

Mailed AOS paperwork to the Chicago lockbox 1-7-11

Between our NOA1 and NOA2 I just stayed off Visa Journey for a month or two, and that helped tremendously.....

I-129F Mailed 13DEC09
I-129F Received 16DEC09
NOA1 Dated 16DEC09
NOA2 Dated 18MAR10 Your I-129f was approved in 92 days from your NOA1 date.
Date Package Received By NVC : 27MAR10
Your interview took 153 days from your I-129F NOA1 date

3 months ? That's a godsend. I'd say anywhere from 150 to 180 days.

If it's faster, that's a blessing.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Well if you look at the areas the Vermont Service Center Covers its a little understandable. Oh and this touched thing everyone does. What is that? Well I know that it meens that the paperwork has more or less been moved. But how are you recieving these so called touches...lets just say that its been all most 60 days and not even a touch haha..I guess that could be good or bad.

But yes the Vermont Service center is slower then the California one but it used to be vice versa a few years ago.

VSC is very slow!! We are still waiting for our NOA2!!

2006---We begin to talk about getting married

2007---I was going to met him face to face, but hurt my back couldn't walk..

2009---Was able to see each for the first time.. I got my engagement ring (WOW).. :wow:

2010-01-22 mailed I129f

2010-01-26 got NOA1

2010-05-12 called to see why no NOA2, I was told that our case is not being processed yet!!!!! No notes in the computer

other then the mailing of the NOA1!!!!!!! :angry:

2010-05-18 called SERVICE CENTER again to see what's going on with our case.. NOT BEING PROCESSED YET I WAS TOLD AGAIN!!!

2010-06-16 Got notice that NOA2 was approved 141 days after NOA1. We got our approval on Ossy's Birthday.. Happy birthday honey, I love you!!!!

2010-06-21 got NOA2 in hand

2010-06-22 called NVC to see if papers was there, but was told that my DOB was not right in the system. Just mailed a letter along with a copy of my birth certificate asking to change my DOB.. Way to go VCS..

2010-06-22 NVC received the case

2010-06-23 Case sent to Embassy in Barbados

2010-06-28 Embassy received our case

2010-08-09 Interview Administrative Review

2010-11-15 Approved for Visa (I was on the mission to make sure the INTERVIEWER that we had never interviewed anyone else and I did it).. Know that you have right and don't let the interviewer cross the line..

2010-12-10 Visa and Passport in hand!!! Thank God!!!

2010-12-19 Ossy will enter the States!!

NOA1 Mar 16th

NOA2 May 21st

They are but still have a lot of us from Jan still waiting!! I'm so happy for you, wish the you the best!!! :dance:

only 3 months!? im being told probebly 4 -5 months however I know someone that got approved in 3 weeks!!!! ahaha no joke. I'm more worried about request for evidence or some problem delaying the petition.

03/12/2010 - I-129F Mailed to Vermont

04/15/2010 - NOA1

03/18/2010 - Touched

06/02/2010 - Email Received "Approved"! (that was fast)

only 3 months!? im being told probebly 4 -5 months however I know someone that got approved in 3 weeks!!!! ahaha no joke. I'm more worried about request for evidence or some problem delaying the petition.

well someone with a noa1 date of 4/1 got a noa2 today.. my noa1 is also 4/1.. im hope it could be anyday now.. but expecting it to be 2-4 more weeks...
