I am re-doing my post because I did not word the title correctly. I have looked at other peoples timelines and in most cases NVC has acknowledged receipt of documents within days. I would appreciate anyone who had this experience to take a minute to share this with me.

thanks

(Hi to all,

I have been doing a lot of reading on this forum but never posted anything. I have two CR1 CASES one for my Stepdaughter and the other for my wife. I am very worried that NVC may have misplaced the case documents for my wife. My lawyer said he sent them to NVC as two cases in one FedEx Box but separated with binders and cover sheets so as not to mix the two cases.

The problem is that on my stepdaughters case NVC said they received the documents and the case is under review as of 4-19-2010. But for my wife they have not recorded the Documents as received. How can they not bother to look at the package and see two cases mother and daughter. All the documents sent are original and if they lost some of the documents can take a good month to replace. I called NVC on the 26th of April and they said a supervisor will look into this and to call back in two weeks. Just trying to sort this out. We were married in September 2009 and this process is taking so long. Has anyone had a similar experience with NVC?

Thanks )

For my wife's case, they didn't acknowledge receipt of my documents until a month later. So every day I would call them, they would say that its still somewhre in the sort facility and hasn't been entered into the system. I wasn't really in a hurry because my son's I-130 was still stuck at USCIS to be approved....In the end it took them 6 weeks from the date of delivery to say that they have the DS-230 package.

So be patient!

Well the process was to get the DS-230 package reviewed so thats why it was taking them too long. Also within that 6 weeks, I got an RFE to submit the DS-230 and documents LOL!! I resent the RFE with a copy of what I had sent before and put a big YEllow Sticky saying 'I already sent this' and attached the receipt from USPS.

UPS signed receipt verifies NVC received our I-864EZ & DS-230 documents on 04/21/2010.

NVC AVR did not show packages received until 04/27/2010.

Speaking to NVC operator...they could not view case update (for packages received) until 04/30/2010.

Operator then confirmed both packages (I-864EZ & DS-230) received and in the system.

We sent our I-864 and DS-230 on 05/26/2010 the AVR is still not stating they were received. I called an operator today and she said to be patient because sometimes it takes time for their system to update. She couldn't verify if they were received. :(

The confirmation date of our DS-230 delivery is May 28th, however as per NVC operator it is still not updated in their system yet. I have been calling them almost on daily basis to inquire about it and the only response that I am getting is that sometimes processing takes about 2 - 4 weeks.

11/18/2010: I-130 package mailed

11/27/2010: I-130 NOA1 received

01/28/2011: I-130 Approved
