Online Status

I called the USCIS customer service this morning to check on my case, she didn't tell me anything interesting but she did say they only update the online status on the 15th of every month.. just thought this is something interesting to share..

I also made an infopass this afternoon to further look into my case. Will let you guys know how it goes.

And that is why it's called the MISinformation line. If your case is only updated on the 15th of every month, then why people people get updates and touches on any given day of the month? My case was updated yesterday, for example. Yesterday was the 27th.

People should just give up on that phone number, I swear.

yup same here, the case is touched automatically whenever the reviewer scans your case not every 15th of the month.

The touches aren't always put it every time something is done to your case. I was sent a new NOA1 (April 19th, 2010) but there hasn't been a touch since March 10th, 2010.

My case status is still on march, 29th and I received my interview on april, 24th but nothing change so far ... maybe that's true

the IO did not tell me anything that i already know. she did give me a stamp thats good for one year (till 4/28/2011).

No, that's not right they don't update it on every 15th not that part. The only thing in uscis.gov that updates in the middle of the month is National Processing Volumes and Trends which appears at the bottom of the page when you check your application status. When for instance you pick I-751 then CSC or VSC and it shows how many applications they've got, approved... and now they are even behind with updating that part. They haven't done it since FEB, 10 and they used to do it every month in the middle 12, 13, 15... but when you get touched or approved it updates in a day.

got an latest update/ touched yesterday its 28th day of the month, so i agree its not always on the 15th day of the month, you can get an update anytime.
