scary stufff, oh wow so not alot of time have passed since the last interview? do if u got divorced, doesnt that guy lose his greencard because he only had that 2 year conditional one?

I hope you wont have any problems, thats like I heared alot of cases where the other person changes after they got their papers, ppl living in lies just to get the GC, these ppl must be very evil to be capable of lying and cheating for such a long time. I cant even imagine.

Well since you are pregnant I think that is one of the ultimate proofs that this is a real marriage! I don't think you guys would conceive a baby just for a sham marriage, what sane person would do that?!

everyone is entitled to mistakes rght?

True. Never in a millions years would someone get prego for that.. OMG the morning sickness alone is not worth it...lol

I am not out to ruin lives. I just wanna move on. I leave that to God, and trust that jerk will get what he deserves. I am not sure how it works. We agreed to divorce in Sept. However he kept putting off. Even said he was going to give me the money to file since he had used every dime I had.... God he was the biggest mistake I ever made. But I was is a bad point in my life. My family had disowned me for changing religions, I was depressed, single mom of 2 trying to make ends meet. ANyway. I was stupid. After him lying and lying. My Imam helped me. I got the funds and filed myself after him dragging his feet for almost 2 months, I made him sign those papers for divorce. The divorce was granted 2 days shy of our one year wedding anniversary. I met another girl he married 6 months prior to me... He told me they divorced because he found her cheating on him.. YEAH I BOUGHT IT!.. GRRR... UNBELEIVABLE but I found her and spoke to her, she said when she did not have the money to help him with INS, everything changed and he divorced her a few months later. He is a scam artist. I am taking all my evidence and letting them decide. I even have a letter from a dentist.. apparently he was commiting insurance fraud. He went there pretending to be someone else using their benefits. I am hoping INS will see I just want my love and my life. That I made a big mistake, and that this guy is good. Everyone was fooled but my mom.. she hated him.

Either way Walaa and I have my full family's support. My mom and dad said not matter the outcome we will be okay. His mother just went to Umrah and she prayed for us there. I believe nothing is great for God. He knows my heart and my husband. He has made everything for us beautiful. I trust in him.

Love you guys, thanks for the support and allowing me to share my life with you all. I am truly blessed.

umm alrightie, well i would just take of myself, and I would look into it because when u signed a contract to be a sponsor now if he took medicaid or anything like that, the agency can go after you to repay it, I think after divorce there is some way to withdraw sponsorship. For all of us, right now we would get a 2 year conditional greencard, and 90 days prior to the 2 years we need to file a petition for removal of conditions. So if ur divorced odds are u wont get it because u cannot file the petition alone. Then if something seems fishy they can call you for another interview though if you had the 1st one , you just need to file the papers. so Im thinking he will lose his GC anyway, but u r right to take the proof and get proof about what kind of person he was and he committed insurance fraud etc etc...

BTW: wouldnt that be hard to remember 1 year and 9 months after getting ur greencard to file some papers? how do u set a remider for that lol? Well on the green card there is probably an expiration date..but still. if u dont use it everyday it can slip ur mind.. wonder what happens then?

I once realized my passport was expired a day before my flight.. i had to pay 3 or 4 times the amount to get a new one in less than 24hrs.. lol

Well good thing i didnt realize at the airport.. lol

Divorce does not break sponsorship.. ever. He needs to be deported, or have accumulated 10 yrs worth of working hours. I looked everywhere to have his name removed. It can not be done :(

Thanks Mp... It was a painful experience for both me and my children (thank God he was always away and never really did stuff with them). I had no intention of getting married after that. I met Walaa through my Imam, he actually paired us up.. things moved fast from there.. and here I am ..... blah. No one in their right mind wants to go through INS twice..lol TRUST ME :bonk::bonk::bonk: I agree the 1 year and 9 months is easy to forget when life takes over.

I know right!!! Its making me a bit anxious simply cuz I've never really been on an interview before. I had one for volunteering on monday but we got side-tracked when she found out Im jamaican and go to church on saturday (her parents are from JA and her grandma's been trying to find a saturday church to go to)... So pretty much, we ended up just chit-chatting lol...

Please, I am asking for prayer and a lot of petience... Thanks love

:dance::dance: CONGRATS!!! Can't wait for the updates :dance::dance:

Thank you, we set an infopass on Tuesday since it is holiday on Monday, July 5. I have received an email that my case was already set for an interview, but I haven't received any interview letter yet. I asked our field office nearest to our place and they said that the Missouri office was the one in charge for the interview. But when I called the USCIS hotline, they said the field office was the once in charge for it,

Funny thing was I mistakenly give my receipt number for I-485. I requested that if it will take me 7 months to finally have an interview and have a greencard, at least expedite my EAD. My EAD was approved last June 28, and had a notice that I requested that I'm asking to expedite my I-485.

Jannah, manipulative people drive me batty. I really cannot read what you just wrote and not want to call USCIS. The fact that he did this to you and another woman just pushes my buttons. I NEED HIS NAME, seriously I'm not playing!!! I will call after you go through your interview and receive the GC with your current husband and "inform” them what he has done. It's not right that people abuse the system so blatantly and get away with it. I understand that you do not want to cause anyone any pain, but DID HE CARE ABOUT THE PAIN HE WAS CAUSING YOU AND YOUR CHILDERN? NO!!! It’s people like him that make it so hard for people like us to go through this whole immigration process.

I WANT HIS NAME CHRISTINE... I’m being so serious right now.

MP- (and anyone waiting for their interview letter).. My husband went to Infopass today and they told him they had not scheduled the interview yet. So at least we know the letter is not lost.

they are just slacking huh? argh!! well good to know! thx! :)

so basically calling USCIS doesnt do anything huh? would have to schedule an infopass?

did they say how much longer it would take or if ur case has been transferred to the local office yet?

this is frustrating... ugh plus i dont feel so well now after eating a whole pint of Ben and Jerrys ice cream :crying:
