Just wanted a few opinions whether a 10/10/10 wedding date is possible. Overnighting my package to the California Service Center today. His consulate would be Montreal, Canada.

I'm still trying to get used to reading the processing time graphs but I think I'm not reading them right. Any help or input welcome. Thanks in advance :)

I'm sorry. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think you're going to make it. You have basically 6 months. The I-129F processing will probably be at least 3 of those. It could happen in 2-2.5, but I'd be very surprised. Even if it finishes in only 2, you have another 2-3 weeks for it to go through the NVC to get to Montreal. Montreal, unfortunately, has a several month backlog for interviews right now. It will be very very tight, if it can happen at all. I wouldn't put any money down [on facility reservations, catering, etc] at those odds. Sorry.

10/10/10 is 195 days (6.5 months) from now - it is just under what many people have experienced (200+ days).

Using current trends - everything would need to go as smooth as possible (no hiccups along the way) or faster. So it might be possible but I would not make unchangeable plans for a ceremony on that day though.

That's what I was realizing. Not the end of the world, it just would have been nice.

Yeah - love the date.

We (got lucky) and were able to tie the knot on 07/07/07 (but were prepared for any day if it didn't work out).

I was lamenting that Nik and I weren't on track just one year later.

I mean, not only is 10/10/10 great (even a guy can remember that date!!) but 101010 in binary is 42, and it's just at the end of the 42nd week of the year - and for a crazy Douglas Adams girl like me, it would just be so great.

But, in the end, just getting married was more important. Besides, I bet most of the good places are already booked by now...

K-1:

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

LOL!

Strangely not that many places were booked. The vendors I chose were still available. I keep getting "signs" that 10/10 is my date but the practical side of me says to just let it go. I've got a few weeks to make a decision.

Originally I wanted 11/11/11 mainly because I'm obsessed with seeing 11:11 on the clock. But because of a family illness decided to move up the date. Plus after meeting, it's hard to be apart.

I could still do 11/11 or 12/12 but the year would be a bit off. I was mainly rooting for October so I could avoid a winter wedding. A winter wedding would be lovely if it snowed but chances are it would be just yuck.

It's funny...I always wanted a spring wedding...and, since we got married in Brazil, even though we got married in October we DID get married in the Sping!

Good luck! And yeah, 2011 or 2012 is sooo long to wait!
