Very true. An attorney won't jump through any hoops to make things go faster. They will wait for the snail mail notices from NVC and proceed after that. They won't call NVC and check the AVR, overnight your packages or track progress for you. You're a LOT better off doing it yourself You have the very best group of people and knowledge that there is...right here

I had an attorney myself when I filed my I-130. I do appreciate him for getting my I-130 approved without any RFE but I fired him when he told me that I should'nt start working on my police certificates till NVC starts processing my case. Luckily I found VJ when he said that and I realized it was going to set me back........... I told him I couldn't retail him due to financial hardship and he couldn't wait to let go of me ........hahahaha

I did it to myself earlier! I tried to sign in and really did a typo so I got the red text error message. I swear my heart stopped, then I read the damned thing..LOLOL That's what I get huh!!

For your annual current income put whatever you're currently earning. Back this up with bank statements/employment letter. (So if you're earning $2,000 a month = $24,000 a year).

For the tax portion, write down the figures on your W2.

2009--$20,000

2008--$23,000

2007--$16,000.

Thanks! I didn't realize that the whole thing moved so fast. I just paid the AOS yesterday for my husband, and today it shows PAID; I guess that's the go signal for the AOS package. I just have to wait for my husband to send the DS 3230 before sending the AOS... but it's good to see movement unlike in the USCIS stage..

& to prove that attorneys f*** up, this is what mine wrote to me via email; It is my suggestion that we wait until the NVC makes a specific written request for it. If you wish to submit it in advance, then it is up to you, but that is against my advice.
