We have an Infopass Appointment tomorrow morning at 9.30 in Chicago to check the status of my case.

We had our interview June 6 and have not heard anything since (2months).

Wish us luck !

06/24/2005 - AOS, EAD and AP sent to CHI Lockbox

07/06/2005 - Notice Dates for AOS, and AP applications - RD 06/27/05

07/15/2005 - EAD and AOS fingerprints&biometrics done walk-in

07/27/2005 - AOS biometrics received

09/07/2005 - Advance Parole approved

09/07/2005 - EAD approved on 09/07/05. Email same night.

09/08/2005 - EAD Card received ( Issue date 09/01/05. Great !

09/09/2005 - Applied for SSN, not is system yet, manual verification pending.

09/14/2005 - Advance Parole docs received.

09/30/2005 - Received letter from SSA that my SSN card should come within two weeks.

10/11/2005 - Received Card. Great news. Thursday License test.

06/06/2006 - Initial AOS Interview in Chicago. ( Officer said she will review our case)

08/07/2006 - Contacted Senators officer to inquire into our case.

08/23/2006 - USCIS interviewing officer called us and wants us to go back for 2nd interview next week

09/08/2006 - second Interview in Chicago. - APPROVED after Stokes Interview.)

09/11/2006 - Enlistment in the United States Marine Corps - shipped to Boot Camp

12/15/2006 - Graduation from Boot Camp in San Diego MCRD

04/13/2007 - Fingerprints for N-400 and N-426 expedited. No more waiting at INS lines when in uniform.

04/14/2007 - Naturalization through qualifying Military Service submitted N-400.

09/20/2007 - Citizenship test and Swearing Ceremony - Applying for first US Passport.

10/02/2007 - Received my US Passport. Its beautiful.

10/16/2007 - Going on vacation to Greece. I missed it a lot.

11/02/2007 - Coming back from Greece through JFK. Its a nice feeling to be home again.

August 12/06 APPROVED - NOA2!!

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

AOS Journey:

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

i'll be very curious to know if you can find any information at the info pass appointment...we've been considering doing the same thing.

Ok we were told the following:

1. I took my fingerprint biometrics last year july and that they are good for 15 months provided they approve the case within the next three months so that is good news.

2. My FBI name check has returned clear so that is good news.

3. My case is currently for review with the Adjudications supervisor ( was transferred to her on July 14th ).

Considering our interviewer was hired only two weeks before our interview for the AOS I consider that as neutral news. It may take a month they said.

The day after the Infopass appointment we went to our Senator and sought help in addressing this delay with USCIS. The Senators office has now filed an inquiry with USCIS so we hope this will keep them on the case focused.

I hoped to get better news, but at least the FBI name check is done....

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )
