So my Fiancees sister has landed a job at Hooters. She'll be coming over from Russia next summer via the work and travel program they have through her University.

I'm a little nervous, my SO is a little nervous and their parents are a little nervous about this. She's just turned 21 and is pretty innocent.

So I'm wondering if there are any folks here that have been to this establishent and can shed some light for me. Is everything on the up and up?

I've only been to Hooters up here once and I wasn't all too crazy about it.

It's just a restaurant with scantily clad servers. I'm sure she'll be hit on a lot but that's about all. I have no idea how the place is managed but tell her not do 'favors' for the boss in exchange for promotion oportunities.

Road trip anyone?

Hooters is fine.

It's tank tops an daisy dukes... not bad at all.

She'll be working with all girls (minus the cooks), so should be fine.

Customers will be flirty sometimes, but it's all good fun.

No harm.

well that does it. there are not enough pretty girls in America to staff all of the hooters restaraunts countrywide.

two possible solutions: import foreign girls for jobs that American girls are not qualified for, or reduce the number of hooters restaraunts.

I wish her the very best of luck and all; but after reading this, I'm wondering how Hooters falls under any kind of work program.

She must have known what her choice is all about. I'm sure she wouldn't be glad if people think she is too naive to get through this.

Besides, "pretty innocent" can be masked. I am not saying this to offend anyone but I know you know what I mean. ^_^
