NVC March 2010 Edition!

OKAY I'VE JUST CONFIRMED WITH THE NVC AVR. My case was complete on MARCH 8 and if I do not hear anything from nvc in 8 weeks to contact the NVC.

For those of you waiting, it took a total of 24 hours from the time of Login failure to update on AVR. I am at a 12 hour time difference so I usually call in about Midnight U.S. time when the NVC phone system is less clogged.

I'll take sachinky's advice and call for a live operator on Friday. Maybe then they will have scheduled an interview for us. I AM REALLY HOPING AND PRAYING to make it in time for the April interview.

Thansure, if you get your approval today or tomorrow, it's possible we may have our interviews at about the same time. Maybe we can meet for lunch or dinner???? Just another reason for you to want to appear for interview with your wife.

Hey Guys, sorry no update forever, been depressed, very angry and busy fighting to figure out this fricken RFE? Non-RFE, whatever the hell! LOTS of posts to catch up on!

So, yesterday got the rudest old woman operator who was no use and finally today, got an awesome young guy to help me. He said the "review" was just completed yesterday(which the jerk yesterday didn't tell me) and explained to me what we actually do need to get. The British police clearance isn't detailed enough! It has EVERYTHING on it that we thought addresses my husbands ticket, but NVC wants the local courthouse records from 10 fricken years ago detailing his case. So......the lawyer doubts they still have records, so if my husband can't get them, get a letter that says the records were destroyed. So I guess ultimately it was an true RFE. Like yours Sach....I need to submit WHAT??? WHY???? A-holes.

So first thing tomorrow the hubby is going to see what records he can get. No telling how long this could take. SOOOOOOO Frustrated, had we KNOWN, we obviously would've dealt with this a long time ago. Oh well. After reading the stories about the other couples separated, it really put my complaining in perspective. To Gisele's mom....wow. My worst fear was that happening to me, I can not imagine how hard that was for you!

I feel like the out of shape kid running the track in gym class and all of you guys are leaving me in the dust! LMAO No problem, everything happens for a reason. The NVC seems royally screwed so far for 2010 for ALL OF US. I'll be interested to see if CP2009 gets an interview scheduled this week.....best of luck!!! Our quick story was my first time to Europe (after wanting to go my whole life!) was for Christmas 08. I planned a family trip to Germany and then France and last minute decided to go by myself to London first to meet a cousin who I'd never met. Our LAST night in London before flying out to Germany, we weren't going to go out, but my cousin (because she is my awesome blood), said those fateful words " Taxi will be here in 10 mins". She asked the taxi driver to take us to a pub, he said, no I have a much more fun place and took us to the place where I met my husband! The two of us spent the whole night driving around London, talking, laughing, eating Turkish food and watching the sun rise from a palace. He drove my cousin and I home, the gentleman that he is, I gave him my number and sadly never thought I would hear from him again. The week I got home, he called on my ONE day of not working and we've been hooked ever since. He bought a laptop the next day, installed Skype and we've talked every day without fail. Lots more little fateful things like that that let me know he was MINE : )

I went back for his bday/Valentine's day because "we couldn't possibly be THIS good!" (We are!) Went back to London for a week in April. Went to Albania to meet his amazing, huge family for 2 weeks in August(and got married in a small courthouse). Went back to Albania for 9 days and arrived as New Years eve fireworks were going off and I got to kiss him in the airport right at midnight. Very romantic, sigh of happiness. Now we are trying to hold out until he is here....praying for a May interview if RFE is cleared up.

All this frustration and I can still proudly and easily say he is absolutely worth the wait : )

Gina--So sorry about the RFE, dear. Any idea how long it'll take to get the required documentation? I hope the situation is resolved soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Also, it looks like Sassythea got a real RFE as well.

Hopefully, Wednesday will bring us some better news.

Gina sorry to hear about the RFE. I don't know why it took so long for NVC to give you this information. Hope you can get this resolved quickly and move forward.

"i got the email for my AOS bill and the agent forms!!! but what is the BEST thing to do with this??

for the agent, HE has to MAIL it to the NVC??? from the country abroad?? i cannot do it for him??? you cannot email that form at all to the NVC???

for AOS, just pay online, then, once the money says paid, new instructions will be given to you????"

Hey, what we did was I emailed the form DS-3032 to NVCInquiry@state.gov, of course, I chose my hubby as our agent of choice, after NVC received my DS-3032, the NVC emailed the AOS and IV bill to my hubby and me, my hubby paid it online. Of course, you can choose yourself as the agent, I heard someone did it before, but usually, people choose the one who is US Citizen as the agent. I heard a lot of people just email the form to NVC, and others mail it

How bad the USPS got lost our DS-3032 kit? anyway, NVC emailed us the AOS and IV bill again yesterday/March 09, and my hubby paid it online this morning/March 10

Hey guys,

I paid my AOS fee last night approximately 9pmEST and this morning I checked my bank account and the money is gone. That was fast, I have everything ready for the AOS package, I think. I have tax returns from 06, 07 and 08 and w2s from 06,07,08&09. I have a job letter and I made $89k last year so I don't think I need a bank statement. any suggestions?
