we are married

The day started off as any other. Casey got up at the crack of dawn to go to work, I tried to sleep in but was unsuccessful. Spent the morning talking to my mom on IM and doing laundry and dishes....just another day lol.

About 2:30 my groom arrived home. Unfortunately he was not able to take more time off work. We all finished getting ready and headed out to the court house.

We got there about 3:30 and stupid me I was sure they said cash or money order....but they said check or money order so poor Casey had to run get a money order. We got our license and signed up on the list of people getting married but still had time to kill until 5 so we went and walked around a store and got a drink.

We got back about 4:45 and the place was totally packed. Thankfully we were 2nd on the list. The weird thing was they called everyone in to the court room at once instead of one at a time so it was jammed.

At about 5:15 it was our turn. I was not nervous or scared I was just excited! The judge called us up and we took our place and gave him our rings.

As he was reading we were holding hands and looking into each others eyes. It was so powerful, I started to tear up. I could not believe we were finally able to get married and be together forever.

We recited the words he told us to and Casey was really choked during that. Once we were done the kids took a few pictures and we were done! We headed out and the kids were hugging us and saying silly stuff like Merry Christmas lol.

Oh and the great part....I think our wedding song is Celebration by Kool and the gang. It was on the radio when we got in the van and we were all singing lol.

We went out and had a really nice dinner then came home. The kids headed off to watch a movie. We had several phone messages from friends and family wanting pictures and phone calls now! lol I called my mom but let the rest wait. She had kept her little guys up waiting for pics so I got those uploaded and sent off.

It was not the fancy dream wedding many people have but the result was the same. I married my soul mate and best friend. I thought I would be sad not having family and friends but it was ok really.

I have to tell you I have never been so happy in all my life. It was like this magical turning moment when the rings went on. I thought we had a great relationship before but now it is .....even better. I know that it will got back to normal in a while but normal is pretty damn good too lol. I am so happy and so in love with this man.....damn I am lucky. :blush:
