67 Chevy SS/RS (396 V8) Sold it because the insruance company wanted $9k per year for a 17 year old kid

69 Chevelle SS (427 V8 bored out to 445) Sold it because the insurance company again wanted $9K per year. sigh.

72 El Camino (350 V8)

93 Honda Civic si

2004 Audi A8

2005 Audi A4 4.2 Quattro

I would love to get an Audi A8 w12 model, but those are really expensive. I think my next car will be a Subaru WRX. The only American cars that I would consider is a pre-1972.

Blastphemer! :(

Currently in the US: 1993 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX (mine)

1995 Ford Taurus GL (also mine)

1971 Jaguar XJ6 with a Chevy small block dropped in (his)

1990 Honda Accord (also his, bought because the XJ6 is a smidge moribund)

We have also had and sold on in the past three years here a 1987 Chevy Camaro, a 1984 Corvette and a 1990 Saturn SL1. Right before we moved to the US, we had a 1968 Morris Minor 1000. Bruce has also imported and sold on a 1980 MGB GT LE (believed to be the only one in the US), and there's a 1971 Triumph Spitfire in storage back in the UK. He has bought and sold more cars over there than I even know about, and since I get confused about them all it's best not to ask lest I offend his sensibilities.

Edited: I realised I gifted the Morris 100 extra cc than it really had!

I have owned, in order:

1984 Oldsmobile Omega

1979 Pontiac Trans Am (my baby for four and a half years)

1981 Chevrolet Chevette (my worst car ever...ugh!)

1986 Oldsmobile Regency Brougham Ninety-Eight (totaled after being rear-ended by a semi)

1994 Plymouth Acclaim

1997 Mazda 626

2007 Chevrolet Malibu

Believe it or not, every car I've owned has been U.S. built. Even the Mazda -- that was the first year of them being considered a domestic car, rather than an import.

My Malibu is great -- still under 10,000 miles on it. I still miss my Trans Am though.

They suck.

Signed,

In case you didn't know, the Aveo is made by Daewoo in S. Korea.

Let's see...

1987 Toyota Corolla

1991 Toyota Camry

1968 Cadillac Deville Convertible (land yacht) ;)

1987 Volvo 740 Wagon

1985 Ford Bronco II

1989 Volvo 740 Sedan

2005 Toyota Matrix XR AWD

I love my current Toyota and the others too. The Volvos were the most comfortable (and warmest ;) ) cars I ever had. The Caddy was fun, and surprisingly fast.

How did you like the Aveo?
It was ok, as it had a European-style shift (similar to that of my 1995 Jetta; the other two Jettas were automatics), but not as nice in fuel economy (I could make a straight run from DC to Monroe, MI in my Jetta where the Aveo could not make it to Toledo without a refill) nor as comfortable (unlike a VW, I could not put the seats bolt-upright).
