This whole DVD thing is disturbing to me. We only had 2 friends and a judge at our apartment when we got married.

Needless to say NO DVD!

Our marriage is still legal and we still love each other just the same... so what does all this mean?

I have about 1200 pics from 45 days of living over there and I fly out again next week for another 3 week stay (from which there will be another big stack of pics because we both enjoy taking them so much!). If I thought the big album would fit under the window, believe me, I would show up at our interview with EVERY picture we have ever taken! Guess I will just take the best ones!

Oh and I am copying a page from every online encounter we have had since we met... and that is at least one a day since Sept 2008. As well as the phone bills. There will be stacks of proof of this relationship! :)

Hi ally and moh, all,

We got married in a mosque, 2 witnesses and the Imam (who was authorized to do legal marriages), we never had a wedding, and it wasn't even brought up at our AOS interview. We got married in the US, so I don't know if that is different.

Good luck to everyone.

OK. Think I will sleep better now.

I am climbing the walls waiting for the NOA 2 as it is. Hoping I will get it before I leave Wednesday, but time is running out. I will make my mom crazy calling her to see what is in the mailbox every day! LOL! At least she knows I will call every day!

I know I can check the email, but I will also be looking for the hard copies from NVC because I really don't want to lose a day! And honestly sometimes I feel confused about how much I can do online and what I have to actually mail to NVC! But my hard copies are ready to go!

You had only 2 people at your wedding? We got denied, and one of the reasons listed was because we didn't have friends or family at the wedding. Of course we did, and we had the picture to prove it. So doesn't that worry you?

it looks like im stalking ya M4E lol

I dont think the wedding itself is the issue as much as the wedding PARTY. That is all that the CO was concerned about at our interview. Ally, I think its totally common to only have two witnesses for a wedding. Thats all they wanted in the judges office when we married anyway. Did you guys have a party though? Ours was small but it had a gazillion people crammed into the house and we got pics of all of us lol

We also went to a studio and had wedding pics taken afterwards... maybe you guys can have some late ones done when you go back next time.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

You are my favorite stalker Lisa! lol

I know that we didn't get denied because of their assumption that no one was there, but they used it as one of the excuses for the denial. And we did have family there! It's a shame we don't learn the "what not to do" until it's too late.

Wow I'm glad about they didn't need the dvd of the wedding. That is at least one less thing to worry about. I do have plenty of pics of the party...Egyptians love to have parties!!

So it was really a '#######' thing, coming in sideways as a rumour, thoroughly trashed by 'translation problem' as well.

I am SO FRICKIN HAPPY that you made the time to VETTE THE DATA - see? You saved yerself some grief by getting 'to the bottom' of 'the story'.
