That's great! Congrats Jersey. I hope this is the start of all your stress fading away!

Congratulations!!! You were quiet helping making people calm down a bit specially after the IMBRA thingy. Hopefully we will be hearing something soon as well:) good luck for rest of the process and good luck to all of you.

:)

My fiance called me last night and told me that she called at the USCIS CUSTOMER SERVICE and there operator replied with reference to our case number that we have been approved but on ONLINE STATUS IT SHOWS STILL

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On July 18, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.

The OPERATOR told if u dont get letter until 18 AUGUST contact us

so what it means we are officially approved or we are unofficially approved

STILL

YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUU :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Pinch me, I'm in shock. The I-129f made it to the finish line before the I-130. Petition approved yesterday (notice by email), so it took 4 months, even with IMBRA.

We were married in New Jersey on my husband's birthday in March. His present was to be sent packing on a plane back to Toronto, to become celibate for his first year as a newlywed while waiting for his visa. Since then, he has been sweating his balls off at WalMart, unloading trucks in the heat with no AC. Lucky him, because he HAS a job. I've been searching, unsuccessfully, since April, and getting anxious. No, getting psychotic. So if you want to know the root cause of my comedy, it's good old fashioned fear.

Life has a way of giving you good things just when you think can't take any more bad. I thank God for hearing me, and will continue to pound on the gates of heaven, including all of you in my prayers, you who are still waiting and wondering.

Meanwhile, here's some more good news. Now that I don't have to knock myself out (as if I were a rogue elephant), there'll be lots more Chilean red wine for the rest of you.

Congratulations, I am happy for you, we also married on my husband’s birthday in March the 11. We had our I-130 approved however I think I am going to give up on the I-129F, it is taking for ever. Well hope that you soon have your husband with you.

Why give up on the K-3? Do you really have anything to lose by waiting? There have been many people who have given up on K-3 and I am totally puzzled as to why you wouldn't be willing to wait it out. The worst thing that can happen is that is doesn't get approved before the I-130 and you are in the same position you are in now. At best it can come through faster and you can be reunited. Please explain to me the logic in cancelling the K-3...

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah Marianne, Congratulations!

I`ve just arisin from a heinekin induced stupor from celebtrating my own recent approval and was stoked to see that you got approved too ! S w e e t.

I`m thinkin that fabeled stinky horseshoe from a dark place of previous posts could be a blessing to all...

I have a feeling it`s like Aussiewench forcasted earlier: a flood of K3 approvals will begin (has begun, it looks like). Let it rain!

For 40 Days and 40 Nights!

We`ll need an ark, a Noah`s or `NOA(2)s` Ark . heh heh eh

congrats again Jersey G. Hope the rest of your trip at the embassy and stuff is faster than your conservative prediciton.

a hui hou

Possibly for the same reasons one only petitions with an I-130 and forgoes the I-129F for the K-3. Also once an I-130 is approved, in many cases the K-3 is a waste of time. The I-130 is the ultimate goal...to be reunited with your spouse with immigrant status.....with no AOS which is a pain in the preverbial butt and can take up to a couple of years depending on local office one files.

Having said that, there really is no need to cancel the I-129F once fees are paid and it is in process. It can also be advantages because if one gets the K-3 interview first and the I-130 reaches the consulute prior to the K-3 interview, one will interview on the CR-1 as it over-rides. At some consulates however the interview is rescheduled as opposed to a straight swap.
