Hello all,

After what has been a pretty smooth process (thanks to the help of this website!) my husband and I have come across some trouble in the processing of our I-485. After a successful petition for a k-1 fiance visa, he entered the country, we got married, and submitted the I-485 packet. In the I-485 instructions, it says:

"If you are a K-1 fiancee who had a medical examination within the last year as required for the nonimmigrant visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report."

We submitted the vaccination supplement, and the doctor in Amsterdam did not release a copy of the medical exam to us - so we do not have it.

Why would USCIS now be asking for the medical exam? The immunization records were certainly included, do we just need to send them again?

Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated... the guy on the phone was extremely unhelpful and we have absolutely no idea what to do!!!

THANKS!

USCIS has in the past misplaced the medical exam results. Happened to my son... they had my wife's but not my son's even though they were all together in the same POE packet

YMMV

Someone else I read had this issue, it was a person processing that didn't look right or something so they resent the vaccination record. They also included the I-485 instructions and highlighted the section you mentioned and a cover letter explaining that the medical was completed on X date and was included with the documents handed in at POE.

I don't know what happened, but as said above, sometimes they don't see it, or whatever. I know at POE my guy said to me "so where's your medical" and I had to point it out, he was just rushing through and didn't see it.

Hope you sort it out. Good luck!

Did you have the vacc records or the DS-3025 transcribed by a Civil Surgeon onto an I-693? That maybe what they are looking for if you just sent in the vacc record.
