I wouldn't worry that much, you had to give copy of your divorce decree for the initial filing of the I-129F.

They could have asked to see the divorce papers at the interview provided they didn't have them anymore in their file.

They didn't ask for them otherwise your fiancée would have told you so :)

So in my humble opinion it's not an issue :)

You can try to scan the papers and have her calling the embassy. Maybe they accept the copy.

I wouldn't just seat and wait 10 days. Try to send this paper or talk to someone in the Embassy, explain to them she doesn't speak English and everything.

Just my opinion....

Good luck!

What was the outcome of the interview? Approval? Additional Processing?

Keeping the passport is usually a good sign.

If you're worried then FedEx/DHL the document to her.

There is nothing to worry about it if they needed it they would informed your financee at the interview time and she would become subject for section (221g) and retains her passport is a good sign good luck

Anh map is right, keeping her passport is a good sign. I would just sit tight and if worse comes worse you can always courier to document to her if they want to see it. They didn't ask to see mine at all. They already had a copy with the initial filing. Good luck.

Oh...! (lol)

CO at Paris embassy are not giving you a real answer, the CO just says some kind of generic sentence that you should get your Chronopost back in ten days or so.

You did submit your divorce decree copy with your petition so they already have it! They don't want to see the orginal, don't worry.

If they needed it, they simply would have requested it. ^^

I'm pretty sure everything will be fine. :)

Did she get a lot of questions, or just 3 or 4?

I had my interview on December 30th, they actually gave me back all documents included in the original petition that they didn't use. Which surprised me but oh well...

I actually got my Chronopost enveloppe back today. :) So it took only a week, actually 4 business days including New Year holiday.

Did your fiancée write her Chronopost enveloppe number down for tracking?

If they were missing something they would have told her at the interview. And if they had, they would have held approval of the visa until they'd received it. She wouldn't have received a denial and they sure wouldn't have kept her passport. She's got the approval. Don't fret.

My Honey just had his interview last month, AND they did ask for my divorce decree. They looked at it, and gave it back to him. I also had a copy of it in my original K1 petition...but with us our case my be different, cuz they grilled him a little bit, cuz I was divorced, and just a day later filed for the K1 Visa. (that was a red flag for us!)

IF they didn't ask for it, you'll be fine.......if they did ask for it, and she didn't have it, then I would email or fax them a copy possibly! I wouldn't waste your time calling....we got nowhere by calling.....they did answer us when we faxed and emailed them. GOOD LUCK!!!!! What questions did they ask your fiance? Tracking the Cronopost is a good thing to do too......I know 5 couples in France that went through the interview process around the same time as we did.....one took only 3 days, and of course for us it was 10 days! If her interview was a Tues....it seems like people that I know from here.....received their visas faster......the 2 of us that had interview on Thurs....for some reason....it was 10 days.
