I've paid the AOS fee and sent DS-230. I just paid for IV fee. Do I have to file for I-864 if I'm filing for a spouse? I am so confused. Please somebody help me.

CLUELESS!!

IV, I-864 and DS-230 all sounds like IR/CR visa to me

Moving from K-3 to IR/CR forum

BTW, I-864 is needed for ALL immigrant visas... not just for non-spouses

YMMV

i think something is backwards.

AOS fee is tied to I-864 .

IV fee is tied to DS-230

You say, you paid AOS, but sent in DS-230 ..

IMO, that's backwards.

If you are using online payment portal, you'll have some instructions...

Good Luck !

Yes, you have to fill out and file an 864 and include tax returns or tax transcripts, pay stubs, letter of employment... the USC must earn 125% of poverty level for your household size (USC + you + any kids)... Currently for 2 people it is about $18,000

If you earn under that, you need a co sponsor...
