Just got back from this movie, it was awesome!!!!

Highly recommend it to all, make sure to see it in 3D. :D

It wasn't available in 3D here, but we saw it last night and loved it just the same.

I was with my husband and his friends on the premiere of Avatar at exactly 12 midnight two days ago. I won't forget it for all of times because that's the first 3D movie I have seen. When we joined the queue around 11 p.m. on Thursday, it was unimaginable. I couldn't believe that Americans do that, too, I mean standing in line to watch a movie. Some must have gone a few hours earlier because when we arrived at 11 p.m., there were so many people already.

The 3D effects may make a reason to see it in a theater but I'd wait until the lines die down. I hate lines and many times I notice the most immature people go to the movies when they first open insuring more crowd reaction. I saw Paranormal Activity couldn't people screaming in the theater.

Just got back from the movie...and it's excellent.

Sure, there are some typical film cliches, and the basis of the story isn't overly original, but the sheer spectacle of the thing puts most movies to shame as entertainment. It gratifies on pretty much every level other than the "deep and profound" one. For an adventure / sci-fi movie, I give it a 9 out of 10...but the CGI and the overall atmosphere of the thing is incredible in 3D.

Saw it in 3D today and it was awesome! Very well put together story and amazing effects and action scenes. A perfect movie for the theaters!
