That's pretty damn funny. An ashtray for someone who doesn't smoke.

My late grandmother in New Zealand was paranoid schizophrenic, didn't know me very well, but enjoyed knitting. Needless to say, I received several knitted things that were always hopelessly too small, and hopelessly hideous. They didn't speak to me though.

An I.O.U. note from a boyfriend with whom I was spending Christmas. He got his sons lots of great gifts - and got me nothing - just wrapped an I.O.U. in gift wrap. (He never did fill that I.O.U., either)

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Wow. That's horrible. I mean...he MIGHT have been able to justify an I.O.U. if A.) he did fulfill it shortly afterwards, and B.) he DIDN'T wrap the bloody thing. But he gets a giant FAIL for wrapping it and never making good on it. #######. Well, things worked out well for you in the long run. :D
