Sent our I-129F 40 page K1 petition to CSC this morning from home base San Diego via priority mail. Let's hope and pray that January is a good month at CSC for K1's!!! I read over our petition at least 100 times.... and think we are ok and I used the guides here for reference and also some lurking around here for a yr soaking up knowledge.......just praying now for a speedy NOA1 and NOA2 and no RFE's...

Good luck everyone and God Bless!

Hi again, I'll repost my question here, hopefully someone can help me out or at least tell me to not worry so much. (Or tell me that I'm right in worrying.) I sent the packet out today, but I just realized now that in the rush of it all I forgot to put ATTN: I-129F on the envelope because I was running out of space and wasn't even thinking properly. I sent it to the Vermont Service Center with overnight delivery and return receipt just to be sure. (Paranoid much?) I hope this doesn't effect the process at all and now I'm all nervous again. I've been kicking myself all day for it but it's out of my control now and it'll be there tomorrow. Anyone got any idea what my best course of action could be? Thanks again. Let's hope this goes smoothly for all of us!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

You should be fine.....it'll just be sitting in the unsorted stack a few more hours.. No worries I think. The I-129F on the outside of the envelop just speeds up the initial sorting. They still have to open it up and hopefully you followed the excellent guides here and have a well put together petition... I am just happy to have our petition finally there and in the que!! I was kicking myself yesterday coz I did Priority Mail instead of Express overnight....and you know it still got there overnight... But yeah...you should be OK!!! Good luck on the rest of the madness!!

Thanks very much for the boost of reassurance! I followed the guide here to a T, must have quadruple checked the forms, spent hours making sure every last detail was perfect, and then wound up messing up on such a tiny detail. I really owe a lot to this site, when I first looked into the K-1 visa the website lead me to believe all I had to do was send in the I-129F and carry on.. nottttt so much the truth. Thank you again! Good luck with you as well! <3

You know I looked at mine a hundred times and thought I didn't miss a lick!! Even did tabs on the bottom and the ACCO fasteners!! I did one last look before putting it in the envelop and geez.... I had the little check block on "her" side for Male/Female checked off as Male!! How did I miss that?? And I'm 100% sure she's all "filipina" not "filipino".... Couldn't imagine getting an RFE 3 months later for that!!

Lots of luck to all in the process....!!

Sorry if all these posts come thru later. I have been trying to post but they dont come up.

But my dates have been changing a lot too, with VSC. We can hope Igor is right, but VSC is seeing some random Decembers being approved before any Nov files were....so who knows! We just have to wait and be patient! Hopefully we will all get info soon after the Decembers go thru!

Best of luck everyone!

Oooo! That is sooo exciting! My I-129f just arrived at the CSC yesterday (1-29-10). I seem to have pretty bad luck so I'm expecting an RFE. I keep analyzing everything; I forgot to write my name on the back of my passport photos, I didn't put our passport photos in separate bags on a piece of paper, but I did write our names on the bag, I didn't attach our photo evidence to a sheet of paper in the correct order(just a plastic bag labeled). Uggh! And now reading this I realized I didn't even label the envelope! >< sigggh. That is just for the I-129f, I can't even begin to tell about all the other steps that kept me up til 7am this morning.

Good luck everyone. :)

Karina...

Deep breaths!!! Inhale... Exhale... lol - I know how you feel. I read, then re-read my entire file (all 62 pages) 3 times before sending it in and all I think about are RFE's.

Relax though, because even though you didn't label the passport style photos - you did label the bag. I venture a guess to say that you won't receive any RFE's from what you've described.

Add your timeline to your signature - it will make it easier for us Jan '10 filers to keep track of your progress.

Alan

My Fiance just got our NOA1, dated 01-14-2010.

Here's hoping for a speedy, non-eventful adjucation with no RFEs. We had been planning our package for a while, but put the whole thing together in basically two days. This is not recommended as we were exhausted afterwards. We front-loaded like crazy, and our package is just over 100 pages, so hopefully we have no problem.

Good luck to everyone who's filed!

I'm checking out all these timelines with really quick NOA1s and I'm starting to get nervous.. they haven't emailed or mailed us anything and it's been 5 days since it arrived at the VSC. I'm only in NJ so it wouldn't take long for any mail to arrive. I know it's just petty worrying but I guess it's easy to worry about something when it's the love of your life, eh? I'm starting to really kick myself for the envelope screw up. Should I give them a call and hope for the best or should I just wait it out? Sorry for complaining, I'm just going to be nervous until I get the first NOA1.. I'll probably chill out after all that. I promise!

Hey...I'm feeling the same way! CSC received our K1 petition on Wednesday morning last week and still have not cashed my check. I get nervous when I see some people here getting checks cashed the next day after receipt of petition and getting their NOA1 at the same time and ours sitting there untouched. ANd I did write 129F on our envelope....:(

I'm just anxious to get a case number and finally get in the system que.... but they recieved ours on Jan 27 and it's Feb 1 now... and nothing....at least cash my check....let me know something is happening... Only how many days to go???
