Manuel and I were "Denied" today

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Manuel and I were denied today. We have no idea why. The only RFE we received was for an unsigned paper. Manuel signed the paper and we sent it back on time. Manuel has never been here, so no overstays. He has never been in trouble, neither one of us has ever been married, a very generic and uneventful application. (So we thought) USCIS says it can take 2 to 3 weeks to get the letter telling us why. We are going to appeal if necessary or reapply, whichever we need to do.

It is so frustrating after all of this time to get a denial. We are hoping it is some kind of clerical error.

Please keep us in your prayers and thanks for eveything all of you have done for us.

Kathy and Manuel

Wait to recieve your letter from USCIS and find out why it was denied. Once you figure out why fix what you need to fix and file another I-129F as from everything I read it will the faster route. Don't give up it's just a speed bump on the road. Good luck :)

Hi Kathy again

My fiance has a question for you: Did you hre an immigration lawyer? He was advised at the beginning of our process by the Immigration office in the city where he lives in the USA that hiring a lawyer to fill out all of the necessary papers and negotiate with USCIS will greatly improve your chances of being approved for the k1 visa. For even the simplest mistakes can add years to the process of obtaining the visa. As I am sure lawyers are expensive, my fiance has already spent over 3000 usd in retaining the attorney, so my fiance advises you guys to engage an immigration lawyer if you have not already done so.

The best of luck to you both.

Don't wait for the letter. Contact your senator, congressman who has a good immigration specialist on their staff and have them check on why you guys were denied.
