Transferred to CSC and now where?

Hi,

I received about 2 weeks ago this email:

Initial Review

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

2 days later I received the mail stating that my case was transferred to California Service Center.

Today I received an other email from USCIS stating excatly the same thing:

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Does it mean that my case was transferred again to an other office or is only a touch??????

Hi acinlove, I'm not sure what it means to have your AOS case transferred to CSC, then later transferred to a USCIS office. However, check out this post by October filier Mrs.Mountville. They received notification of approval of their I-485 today after two transfers similar to yours. Hopefully it means you will be approved soon. Good luck.

Don't worry, it's good news actually. There is a big chance you will not have an interview. I received the same letters before too.

Maybe the first means they've decided to send it to CSC and the second means it arrive and got logged in at CSC.

The same happened with us, and approval came without interview, si man. It's not GUARANTEED that there will be no interview, but it's likely. Try to relax, si man.

Being transferred to CSC is a good sign. I just got an email from them informing me that my I485 is approved. No interview. Sometimes they will email you same thing, or if you check your status online, it is not reliable. The fact that your application was transferred to CSC, that is good.

My case was transferred to CSC on Nov. 25. I got an email that says it is transferred back to USCIS. What does it mean?

Receiving duplicate or redundant messeges is common enough. We had a similar experience when the petition was approved. It took approximately one month from transfer to approval. August filers were keeping a spreadsheet to track transfers and length of time between steps. Several others reported similar outcomes. All the best

Anybody can track length of time between steps, as there are "calculated fields" (columns which reflect how many days it took from step A to step B).
