Ack! Everytime I look at my timeline, the "your petition may be adjudicated between..." dates have shifted later. Pretty disheartening... :(

Exactly!! Maybe I should quit checking every day...

So it's in Vermont...we're just not sure if it's been delivered yet. USPS says 'Arrival at Unit' whatever the hell that means. But hey, it's in the right town and the right state, progress :)

(I think I need to relax a little bit otherwise I'll have had a heart attack by January!!)

Hey Folks,

I figured I'd join the fray.... I sent the pettition on the 13th. it was received yesterday the 19th. I sent a cashiers check so I cannot see when they cash the check so I'll be checking my mail 12 times a day over the next week or so I am sure. Oh and I just realized that I didn't write the names dates and locations on the back of the "proof of meeting" photos. I hope that doesn't create a problem....Do ya think it will? Please say no.... Ok so now I start to stress on the I-134 issue. I just became unemployed on October 1st. I have been gainfully employed for 6 years but suddenly I find myself in a pickle. Hey will owing the IRS a bit of funds negate this from ever really happening? AHHHHHHH somone tell me it'll all be ok?

It's okay to peek, KisK, mine just jumped ahead a whole week!!! (touch wood...)

Come on, Vermont!! Time to kick it into high gear before the holidays!

Jess - Don't have a heart attack! We're all in it together. Hopefully your check will be cashed soon and then you can breathe a sigh of relief know that it's inside and someone's looked at it. And you'll have your case number to start checking the USCIS every few hours...

Tony - Welcome! You'll get your NOA1 "soon enough" (as if anything in this process were "soon enough"...) For the pictures, the worst that will happen (I assume) is that you'll get an RFE asking for the dates and locations, so that shouldn't cause too much of a hitch in the process.

As for the affidavit of support, I'd suggest getting someone to act as a co-sponsor, if you've got someone available and willing. I'm employed and make the required amount, but I have no savings as I burned through all of them traveling and being unemployed until mid-sept, so I'm getting my dad to fill out an I-134 as well.

Hope that helps!

Yay!! That'd be the best Xmas present ever...good luck!!

In line with my motto of 'I take the small victories', our check was cashed yesterday (found out this morning) and we got our case/number/NOA1 date/had our first touch, and I am now going to massively fail to get any work done for the rest of the day cos I am far too overexcited :D:D:D

Estimated adjudication of mid-January - which would be fitting because I am visiting then :) would just about work within our timeframe although might need to slow things down a bit at the interview stage...but I'm still impatient to just get approval and know everything's gonna be OK!!

Man, I hate how the VJ timeline function controls all my happiness. Everytime it moves forward a couple of days is like my birthday, and everyday it goes back is like a dead puppy on my doorstep. :crying:

Looks like we're in for a quiet few days now, eh, team? Let's hope Thanksgiving food-comas will make the time pass more quickly....

douglas1: Welcome! Hope you have a great trip to see your love!

Miss Jess: Hooray for check cashing and case numbers! It's so much peace of mind just knowing that someone touched the package and entered it into a computer, isn't it?

Thanks :) yes I felt so much better!! It's also been touched every day this week (aside from today for obvious reasons :)) - dunno what they're doing to but they're doing something!

This is quite sadistic but I would actually like things to slow down just an ickle bit...to fit in with our plans :) but the main thing is to get it issued, that will be such a weight off my shoulders....

Little update - I got my NOA1 on November 10, my I129F was last touched on November 16 and no action since then. I have seen several peoples petitions get processed and delivered a NOA2 in a little over a month in October at VSC. I know that the holidays are approaching and fear that things are going to slow down over there. Another thing is that I checked the list of people ahead of me on the processing times and I am number 252 :(

Our petition reall covered all the bases and we probably overdid it with the amount of evidence we included. I think that having a daughter with your fiancé helps, I hope that those at the VSC agree.

At this point, there is not much to do but check their site everyday and to sit tight. Tough when your 3 month old daughter is 5000 miles away. Such is life...
