Seriously!!! What time is it in France?! Is the interview over yet?! C'mon Naddy! Give us a reason to dance around!

I took the day off yesterday so that we could have a mad dash of errands. We opened a PO Box (the place we're moving next week doesn't have secure mail delivery), went to apply for Ewan's social security card (easy peasy, except that the won't send the card to the PO Box, so hopefully we will still get it!), and we put our whole AOS package together, made the copies and sent it off (a bit of a mad dash - hopefully we remembered to sign everything and such!). Then we celebrated all that productivity with burgers and beers :).

Here's the promised AOS thread for us to transition to: Nov 2009 AOS Hopefully we'll all be there soon!

Oh megan, you are a real American sweetheart :luv:

I cannot imagine joining a thread now that is not started by our deal megger!

I just want these intervening 11 days to get over.I might need you guys to say some special prayers for me.I feel like John's joblessness might be a sore point.I get worried over this. That's why just want the interview out of my way.I then do not mind waiting.(but only for a little while longer though!).

Common Nadine,give it to us B-) .

Don't worry, sweetie! You have a co-sponsor, so everything should be fine. It's totally obvious that your relationship and love is real, so there should be no reason to give you a hard time. You're both intelligent and awesome - don't worry! I wish there was some way to speed up the next 11 days to bring you to the interview day. Or maybe just to the end of the interview when they're telling you "Congrats! You're approved!"

Which they will be soon, are currently, or have recently told our dear dear Nadine!

yay thx guys :D

such a relief. now I just want my passport back to be able to fly asap

I posted my review

It was smooth, even tho I was nervous when the CO asked too many questions

I didn't get a "Congratz, you got your visa", but as I read, keeping the passport and the envelop is similar to a "yes"

Now just hoping that I don't get stuck on AP lol. I'll go keel them. I'm fed up of waiting

I'll post my civil wedding dress photo in a min. Just need to find an SD card to transfer it from cell phone to laptop lol

WOW!! So much going on!!

Congrats to Jl_n_JL, ash-n-flo, and Johnny on the approvals!! Great news, and I hope for easy and quick experiences at the border for you! Really soon now, you will be reunited!

To arwilson: Congrats on the clean bill of health! I have a friend who's a med student, and she says it's not uncommon for people to have "white coat syndrome," which is high blood pressure that only happens when you're in the doctor's office having your blood pressure measured... I'm sure the nerves associated with this being one of the "make-or-break" points of the visa process is enough to get anyone's BP up!

To Justar: Good luck on the medical today, sweetie! You'll knock 'em dead! Or maybe some more appropriate metaphor for a medical exam....

To Miss Jess: Oh, dear! I hope they give you your date soon without a squillion pound phone call! Best wishes going out to you!

Here's the update from my neck o' the woods:

We got married in the courthouse on Friday, a mere week after Ewan's arrival. We had to walk through a metal detector on entry, and take a number to wait for our ceremony. Three friends were in attendance (it's good that there weren't any more, because the room for the ceremony was TINY!). We waited about 45 minutes to be called, and then signed the paperwork and went to the room for the ceremony. It was short and sweet (5-10 minutes or so) which was good, because it didn't give me too much time to cry :). I was quite ill with a stomach bug the day before and the morning of the wedding, so my celebrating was curtailed a bit, but we had some cake and champagne (my friends surprised us with it) and then went out for a few pints and snacks at a local pub. Nice, quiet and chill. We're hoping to get together the AOS paperwork in the next few days (still waiting on our co-sponsor's [i.e. my dad] forms and my tax transcripts). But I'll let you know when we do, and start a thread for us to slowly transition to in the AOS forum.

Thanks to all of you - I couldn't have done it without my November family!!

P.S. I'll post some photos in a few minutes!

GREAT PICTURES YOU GUYS GOT THERE..ONE DAY SOON I KNOW ME N MEU AMOR WILL BE DOING THAT TOO
