Hello,

I thought interviews are only made the second week of every month for the following month. Why is there so much people getting interviews right now for November and December and they just got there case completed when and around when I did, which was October 23, 2009?????

Its not fair! :angry:

Sorry I am just frustrated.

July 30, 2009…Got NOA #2 (YA ALLAH)

August 21, 2009…Sent in DS-3032

August 28, 2009…Paid IV Bill

September 1, 2009…Sent in AOS Packet

October 23, 2009…Sign in FAILED!! WOO HOO!!!

October 24, 2009…CASE COMPLETED!!!

October 30, 2009...Got Interview Date!!!!!!!

December 20, 2009…Interview at the US Embassy In Baghdad, Iraq (YA ALLAH HELP HIM) APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! Just need to get some papers in and will get Passport back.

January 25, 2010...VISA ISSUED!!!!

January 30, 2010…Visa in Hand (YA ALLAH WA AKBAR)

POE STAGE

February 5, 2010…POE at Seattle, Washington

Well, given that your case was complete just last week... I do not think you will get too much sympathy from this bunch here... Considering that some people (Canadians, Gahana, Abu Dabi and other cousulates) have been waiting for their embassys to schedule interviews since June and July!!!

I understand how frustrated we get being so close to the finish yet so far!!! However, 1 week dies not a crisis situation make... They have been doing some scheduling this week to try to illeviate the backlog of completed cases wiating for interview... Officially scheduling week is the 2nd week of the month...

Ya probably need to pull up a chair and open a fresh bottle as you might be sittin here a bit waiting for the scheduling... Just how it happens... Each embassy as a different case load and time till interviews... I have been in this system since April and we have others waiting for interviews since May... It just depends...

Just try to get everything here ready for the big move and big changes to your life and have all your documentation together and try to get through the waiting... Good luch!!

Ooh, a fresh bottle sounds nice about now.

Maybe it depends on the embassy/country, and their schedules. Well, I'm sure it does depend on that actually!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

ACTUALLY if you've watched scheduling at all for the last several months it is done the 2nd AND the 4th weeks of the month. ALSO NVC has NO impact on when your embassy schedules, how many your embassy schedules or which visas they schedule for, it's all up to your embassy. I haven't looked at the Iraq embassy timelines but I'm sure that most wait more than a month to get scheduled.

So I just looked up the info and there isn't any real data from people on VJ going through Iraq. So best guessimate would be to go with the average which is interview scheduled the scheduling week 29 days after case complete or scheduling week after November 22nd which would be either 4th week of November or 2nd week of December for a January interview, but that is a COMPLETE guess since as I said there isn't any real data.
