And that's the problem. If June appointments are already "rolling in", then that is a serious situation for us May filers. It's never good when later filers get finished first

I agree!!!! What is going on with us the May filers?

Yet it is true. It appears USCIS skipped over anyone who filed in late May. What a disaster. Maybe they'll get it corrected in the next few months. At least our extension letters are good for 1 year.

Yes, it's not good that they don't follow the order exactly, but being a glass half full type of person I'm still happy because that means they have sorted out the problems and are moving again! Something is always better than nothing so try to focus on the bright side of this. May filers will all get processed and approved soon.

Things will start happening after Independence Day weekend. I have a good feeling.

I agree, they are probably rescheduling the duplicated appointment times and giving them to the May filers who haven't gotten bio letters yet rather than putting everything on hold and letting those time slots go to waste. I'm guessing what will happen is that May filers will end up with shorter lead times between when they get their bio letters and when they have their actual appointments, so be prepared to probably only have a few days notice guys! :)

This serious situation with the Bio letter for many of us May filers is just so unfair. USCIS should follows the order as we have filed. Therefore May filers should get their Bio letter before that later month filers. That is my opinion. We are 'asked' to respect the rules and timeline, but we don't get the same in return. I'm really hoping that this week somebody of us May filers going to begin to receive the Bio appointment.

Mari&Ryan -

Why don't you call USCIS to find out what specifically is going on with your biometrics letter? You are over 30 days from NOA1, so the customer representative will be able to place a service request to the Service Center. You can also ask to speak to an immigrations officer to get your CR I-91 receipt number, so you can see your case online and sign up for e-mail/text message updates.

That way, in the rare case your individual case fell through the cracks or was overlooked, you can politely remind them.

Just bringing the list to the most recent page.

A comment about a question/concern I read - the reason sometimes USCIS processes late May filers is because they are considered June. The date on the NOA is the correct date and not when we mail our applications. Therefore, if your NOA says June 1st, then in USCIS's eyes, you are a June filer.

I just received my CRI89 number.....my actual case number.....by email. And it wasn't because of the service request I put in last week. I had called USCIS about 2 weeks after getting my NOA1, asking for the case number. Couldn't get it. Last week, I called again (and couldn't get it again) but found out that you can email them if the phone service can't resolve your problem within 30 days. So I emailed the CSC and explained about my first call (meanwhile 30 days had passed) and within 1 business day, I got my reply with my CRI89 case number.

Wheeeeee! If anyone needs details, let me know, I'd be happy to help.

The last touch we got on our CR I-89 was on 05/21/2010 - the NOA is dated from mid May so I really think we are May filers. The phone support Agent and IO both confirmed it was not normal that we still don't have a date scheduled for the Bio so something is really the matter if people who sent their packet in June are getting Bios and we're not... I just wish they would at least keep us posted on what is their next step. If the system is back working they should have an estimate of when we'll be getting our Bios. It's so stressful we were planing on traveling like so many others and with this mess we won't be doing it because if we get the letter in the meantime we might miss the apt altogether! Sigh...

I-751 timeline (Vermont)

05/11/2010 - I-751 mailed

05/14/2010 - NOA1 received

05/21/2010 - USCIS touch

07/10/2010 - USCIS touch

yep, They are not giving us a real explanation about what is really going on with our BIO app. Because I don't believe that 'tale' that is cause our local offices haven't had room for our app. We have May filers from different states so? No room for us but there is room for the later filers from the same states? Please.

I'm really mad about of this whole matter.

They're the government, they don't have to respond, give reasons or show proof. They don't have to answer any questions. I think that is where we're at and the best thing is to wait.

Does anyone know if your CR I-89 case gets touched when a biometrics appointment is issued?
