Thanks everyone; SO glad to having some breathing space for a bit :)

We've not had any email notification either, nor has our status been changed. I figure either they will change it next week or eventually the docs will show up. Enjoy the weekend all!

Congratulations everybody! :dance:::dance::dance:

Remember to update the social security office with your new status. If you want to keep your old social security card as a souvenir, just don't bring it. As long as you know your number and have your green card, they shouldn't need the old card back to issue you a nice new unrestricted social security card.

After you get your unrestricted social security card (and a driver's license if you haven't already), THEN you're done for 1.75 years.

YAY!

That's a good point that I hadn't even thought of. My husband's SS card says valid for work only so I suppose that means it has restrictions on it?

thank you guys!! hope your all GC is coming any day next week.!! sure it will. mine took 7 days since it was approved.

So many approvals!! That's GREAT!!!! Congrats to all! I don't have such good news, but I'm happy to say that my case was transfered to CSC on the 15th! I'm surprised that even with 2 RFEs, my case was still transfered there which means that most likely, I will not have an interview! I just hope that they are no refusals at CSC.... :(

Happy continuation!

You'll get your AOS approved soon w/o interview ruby_mtl :-) My case was approved exactly one month from it was transferred . :star: Good luck!!

Yeah it's good to get the card changed once you become a PR so they can remove the `valid for work only with DHS authorization' restriction. Then your hubby's card will look just like yours. I just started working again in HR and if a PR has an unrestricted SSC they can just show that and a driver license when they're hired... Otherwise they have to show their green card.

Congrats again and fingers crossed you get that card production e-mail soon :thumbs:
