I have a question - -

I have started applying for jobs, and for work authorization, some times I check EAD if available and GC if not. My question is, does anyone know how long the EAD is valid, if GC comes within another month or so, it's fine - - can it happen your EAD expires and GC no where in sight?

Please help guys, I should have something good to tell the interviewers/ employers!!

Hi simbafuzz, I believe the EAD expires in one year and can be renewed if your status is still valid. If the GC was still in process after a year, they would allow you to renew the EAD. Only a denial of AOS would interrupt continued authorized employment.

Oooh I see. I did have a hard time finding a civil surgeon to just do the vaccination part, and ended up paying over $400 because he insisted on updating all my boosters, even though they were fine. I just finally stopped arguing and let him do it, at least now for SURE I should have everything that I need! But yes, it was very difficult and very expensive.

Filing without a lawyer for my spouse (on H1-B with I-130 approved)

Hey guys, I just got home from my biometric appointment. It was in Oakland office. It took about 10 mins. The guy who assisted me was Filipino. At the end he said "ok you're all done! It takes about 2-3 months for your EAD card so just wait for it" that's what he said.

Do they really say that? Lol I was just wondering.

What did they say to you? Hehe
