Anisa - I believe they stop processing everything including EAD & AP until they get the evidence they requested from you. Hopefully it will be something quick and easy for you to do and they will get right back on your case asap. You might want to try asking around the Sept filer board as they have already had some folks go through this who could help you better then we can yet :)

Thanks simbafuzz. I can't take the credit though. I copied most of it from JimandCristy in the September group.

Upcoming: We still have a few outstanding NOAs and biometrics appts. We have a few more bios scheduled this week. Waiting to hear from them as they complete. Hopefully we'll have some more transfers to CSC. Maybe the first approved EAD and AP.

Go October Go.

..I was just thinking how crazy it is that the K-1 felt like it took so freaking long (even though I know we were pretty lucky with only a 6 month wait. Some waited so much longer.). Now, we only filed a few weeks ago if you think about it, and our first EAD and AP approvals will probably be coming out by next week. For some, AOS approval could be as little as 2 weeks away. That is insane! I remember thinking it would be another 4 month minimum, 1 year possibly, definitely an interview kind of process that I honestly was dreading having to trudge through again. I just don't feel like we can really be settled in our lives til this whole AOS thing is over with. I've been holding my breath for so long I don't know what it's like to breathe anymore. I can't wait to see how it feels.

We are a very lucky bunch.

I'm not sure if they process is stopped for EAD and AP as well, because, as Anisa, I haven't received my RFE letter yet, but online it only mentions AOS. Also my EAD and AP have not been touched since I registered online. I can't wait to get it though so i can address it ASAP! it was sent last Friday...why is it taking so long!! lol

I think that the fact that we applied for PR gives us the possibility to apply for EAD and AP. I could be wrong, but I don't think it pauses everything. Any other thoughts?

Beth and her daughter completed the Biometrics yesterday as per the appointment. There was no one else there. Hey, is Caper, WY so we were in and out in 10 minutes. Once done the lady who did the work made some comments that we would be called for an interview in 4 to 5 months! Is she cluless or does she know somehting we do not know? I can not see our case online yet. :crying:

Anyway - the Biometrics is out of the way.

Weird point of fact: The Address of the USCIS office is 150 E. B Street, Casper, WY... but there is not B Street there! It is a concrete ediface sitting on Wolcott Street. The real B Street starts a block away and ending into the parking lot for the Post Office. We ran into the USCIS building quit by accident. The real location is between A street and C Street on Wolcott.

Hey everyone I'm glad to see everyone's progress :) I have a question and I was hoping you guys could give me advice.... My husband and I went to the post office and it turns out our last names were wrong on their system so that would explain why our mail is not getting delivered. If you guys remember I called last week 1800 number and they told me my biometrics was scheduled the second week of November but they could not give me the exact date. Ok so since it is not likely the biometrics letter will get here at all or on time what should my husband and I do? We have yet to receive any letter since this mistake happened.

We don't know if we should call and reschedule since we wont get letter on time?

also when I called 1800 number an RFE was also sent out what should I do about that, call and have it remailed?

I would appreciate your feedback.

I'd keep trying the 800 number. Last month when simbafuzz called, they said they could fax him a copy of the bio appt letter if his did not arrive. (simbafuzz, is that right?)

Great memory Greg, just a teeny error, fax 'her' a copy, not 'him' :P ...

Monica, just have a fax number ready, and call the 800 number and after explaining the situation, ask them if they could fax you a copy of the letter just so you can finish the bio. I think they do it without hassle. And no need to reschedule, it will just delay the process, like we didn't already have enough of that. Just make sure, you speak to somebody who will listen to you and find a solution, even if it means getting transferred a million times.

And also sweet talk them to see if they can tell you what RFE is about? maybe you can work on getting the docs together after the bio. Just my 2 cents, hope that helps :)
