Hi everybody

I sent my AOS pack late September so I guess Im an October filler. I have a question, my passport was about to expire in November so I got a new one because I want to go home for christmas , I will have my biometrics this week do you guys think I will have a problem because I started all the process with my old passport. did i make a mistake getting the new one?? hope somebody can give me an advise.

Do you still have your old passport with your Visa and I-94? I think it was a good idea to get your passport renewed. Some people have had problems in the process with a passport that was about to expire.

Still no NOA for the applications, but I did receive the Biometrics appointment letter. Appointment for November 10, 2009

Hi shenan, does your case number show on the biometrics appointment letter? Was it the same one from your cashed check? Is it online yet?

I'll trade you one of my NOAs for your biometrics appointment.

Hi Greg, it lists 2 case numbers on the Biometrics letter. Neither one matches the one on the back of the check. Still not showing up online.

My application arrived there the day before yours did. You may receive it tomorrow

I mailed my AOS on 24th and it should be there on 27th. Hopefully, that'll put me in October

Hi there. I'm joining the group. OUR packet was received in Chicago on Oct 12th and we just received the NOA on Friday. The date was October 19th. Where is the spreadsheet that you have refered to?

Hi There! We submitted our AOS at the end of September and our NOAs are dated October 7th. Today we received notice that our biometrics is scheduled for November 6th and our case was transferred to CSC on October 21st! Hoping for a speedy process!

Thank you for your advice. My husband and I have been worring about the biometrics letter but we decided to be patient little bit more

Hi Nikki and Brian, your biometrics appt is scheduled with your local ACS. I don't know how the scheduling is done, but I wonder if the local ACS is involved in the scheduling process. Maybe those located in larger cities are able to schedule more quickly. Our ACS is in Honolulu and, judging from VisaJourney activity, does not process as many I-485s as other cities. What is your local ACS?

Thank you for your reply. Our local ACS is Dallas TX... I'm jealous of your weather! Anyway, today my husband called that 800 number to ask about biometrics, they said we need to wait 30 days after filing AOS for an appointment notice to come in the mail. She said to call back if we do not get it after 30 days to see what's going on.
