Hi Jaci! Wow, you're like one of the original VJer's! Nice to see the two of you! Knowing that you're still in the process keeps us newer members from complainin' too much! ;)

Hello again everyone! :P It's so nice to see you all, and nice to meet a few of you, too!

We're doing great.. still not sure where we will end up but keeping ourselves open to lots of possibilities. Of course it's my fondest dream to have him here in the US, so we'll surely try again, but I take nothing for granted knowing as much as I do about problems that exist when simple cases become unnecessarily complicated.

The result of encountering repeated delays (no.. I no don't count the days anymore) has been inconvenient, but hasn't really prevented us from moving on in many respects. Although our living arrangements are a bit unusual we're still a treasured part of each other's daily lives wherever we may be (although let's face it, the together days are WAY more fun  ) There is no way we could possibly imagine a day without each other. I'm desperately seeking means to spend more time there, but need to maintain my residence here for now, unless perhaps I could find a co-sponsor arrangement I was comfortable with. I'm toying with applying for some positions in Bucharest just to see if I get a tempting offer, but foreign income won't cut it for getting Cipri home with me. It would be sweet to find a way to wait out a new application over there. (L)

I'm not sure where our journey is taking us, but we've been blessed in the time that's passed, and I'm not sure I have any regrets, really, although I reserve the right to complain if I feel like it :P . I don't see how it would help being bitter though, and I do my best to stay positive. My faith helps alot. :innocent: And yes Vik... Job Job Job.

Although it could never really be enough, I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity that I've had to spend as much time as I have in Romania with Ciprian, and despite everything we have even managed to enjoy a lovely relationship with family and friends there, who are also very dear to me. I would still prefer to reside with him here in the US, but I feel less and less that "home" is any place in particular for either or both of us, and there are other people (especially Mama) I will still miss when Cipri is here with me. I trust that we will find our way.

We both seem to agree that anywhere we can set up a home together would do, and are trying to keep all our options open while we're working on building a secure future together.
