Do you intend to work in the US?

I answered NO. is this ok?

im done my papers and i started yesterday. :wacko:

please tell me who among here answered No and YEs. lol

my answer to that question is NO..

the reason of K1 visa is to marry the fiance not to work or study

just to go on the safe side..

and you need to file AOS and a lot more

before you can work or study..

May 2012 - Due- welcoming our 2ND Baby and it's a Boy!

when does work authorization occur during for K1 visa?

OMG! in my own opinion "intend" is different from want or like... thats why i put a NO.

cause i want and i like but thats not my intention, or goal, or purpose

intend, intensions, goal, purpose, aim, objective = whatever lol. i think they are synonymous

i think im just a confused child lol.

Yes, it is OK to answer "No" You can also answer "YES, with quthoirzation" or "NA K-1 visa"

N-400 Stuff:

I answered NO and I didn't have any prob...as a matter of fact I passed the interview and in God's grace I'm here in US now...Don't worry about it...

But you said, different answer in the same set of the form, that's another story... Good luck!!!

when does work authorization occur during for K1 visa?

I'm wondering this as well, and have been told you have to wait for AOS.. but I have also heard that at certain POE's you can get a stamp on the I-94 that gives you authorization to work on the K1.

I work with J1 visa students, and handle the work offers they take to the consulate and all paperwork when they arrive, so had a connection to ask about this. My"connection" told me this isn't allowed anymore.. but one of my previous employees came back in July, on K1 Visa, and DID get this stamp through JFK.

He said he went to the office in the airport, filled out the form they gave him and put the stamp on his I-94. It allowed him to work until the K1 was expired. He worked for 3 months and is now waiting for work authorization again, after filing his AOS.

06/04/09 - 2nd Denial of Visitor Visa to U.S.A.

09/22/09 - I-129F Sent
09/24/2009 - NOA1
10/19/2009 - NOA2

INTERVIEW DATE - February 23, 2010 - also the two year anniversary of the day we met smile.png

03/30/2010 - Married

04/29/2010 - Mailed AOS Packet
07/14/2010 - AOS Approved!
07/24/2010 - Green Card in Hand!

Work authorization is not an automatic thing. As a K-1 you are eligible to receive work authorization for up to 90 days upon arrival....and you are also eligible to receive work authorization after your marriage when you apply to adjust your status.
