I have all the health insurance I need, and don't feel like paying for someone else to get it. Bottom Line!

To me, insurance is just a legalized form of gambling, and if I didn't need it, wouldn't have it, but since I'm not a gambler... I pay.

have you heard what congress has up it's sleeve for tricare? about a 13 times increase in yearly enrollment costs, for me it would jump from $470 a year to $6k or so.

makes my retirement and earned benefits more worthless all the time

And to think that will be a start. Just imagine the Federal bureaucracy gets its hands on all that power and money.

and just imagine what it will do to retention and recruiting for the military!

I'm surprised of what I found out about the differences between Democrats and Republicans. The Republicans (not the extremists) have alot of validity of opposing such reforms.

Nancy Pelosi is a Democrats who only care about her purse. I'd say the Republican or rather the conservatives are closer to reality than the liberals.

Sometimes the rhetoric from the conservatives drives me away from them. Defeats the purpose of trying to get supporters on the conservative side. However, I don't like the Republicans in terms of their religious endeavors. So, that also explains why I don't a Republican as much as a Democrat.

Well, looks like I'm awaken.

Is in our local paper today that the state Dems are going to tackle drunken driving. Does that mean the Dems are going to quit driving? Sure in the hell ain't going to quit drinking.

Heard one independent expert say that our current yearly medical cost is 2.4 trillion, with 50 million uninsured, with regulation and more efficiency, should be able to cover everyone in this country for 1.6 trillion, that translates to less cost per person. Question is, who in the hell do you believe? Should publish all the campaign contributions these guys get plus other gratuities.

Agree with Wallace just on this one statement he made about republicans and democrats, not a dimes worth of difference.

You really could actually cover everyone for less, but what you would need to do to accomplish that is politically impossible, at least at the federal level. Too much FUD.

A state might be able to accomplish it on their own though.

Uncle Ronnie's out of control government spending, coupled with deregulation and the insertion of A. Greenspan as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve are major factors for the economic situation that we are currently in. I certainly do not yearn for those years. I still don't get why conservatives have such a wet dream over him.
