The only way for you to know how to proceed is to see what the next feedback is, because they were ambiguous on purpose.

You can't know what that reason is now, but you don't have to assume it means you have done anything wrong.

It's possible that USCIS goofed by omitting something in their routine checking and the NVC picked up on that and bounced it back.

It's lousy because you are the ones to suffer, not them in terms of delay. It's just a review, not a death sentence.

Government agencies are like that..."it's not my job" etc. so they pass the buck back to the previous agency.

They say you can't respond to the message, but a more experienced member should be able to tell you how to respond and you should start researching that NOW.

It's a raw deal but you'll get over it. Don't waste any time asking what's up after the "enforced wait." Call customer service and if that gets no results take further steps.

Does this mean that they have finally located your case? I agree that it is probably some error on the part of USCIS, and NVC caught it. Hopefully you will be on your way again soon. Good luck!

I'm hoping that this means they located the file finally. Waiting for them to open today so we can put in a service request and find out why it was sent back. IIRC Nvc has to attach something to it with the reason for review..well normally the consulate wood but it never made it that far.

only question i have though..NOA2 expires dec. we're already one month in to that. Does this mean nvc or uscis can extend the approval? Normally the consulate automatically extends it..but it is not there yet and i have no clue when it will get there.]

I'm just worried since it's CSC it will stay there till it expires and we'll get that dreaded notice.

I'm fearing a similiar situation ... our K1 passed quickly from NOA1 to NOA2 then on to NVC, but now I can find out nothing... no toll free number to call NVC, no online case status check, my e-mails are returned continuously saying "I didnt furnish my case number" (but I did) ... It's been 11 days since it was sent to the NVC, and I can't find out anything. Sometimes it feels they're amusing themselves by toying with our lives.

and our approval also expires December 31 ... heavy sigh

Interview ... WAIVED? Never heard of this, but they didn't even interview him, just told him pick up his visa the next day.

Current Status: Interview ... waived ... I guess :) They just took his fingerprints and documents and told him everything was in order and he should pick up his visa tomorrow! WOW

I can't believe it's only been 7 months since we filed ... seems like an eternity!

NVC doesn't have a toll-free number. The number is 603-334-0700. K-1 cases aren't entered into their system, so you'll have to talk to an operator. When you get to the voice menu for the automated voice system, press 1 for English, then 5 to speak to an operator. When they answer, be prepared to provide your USCIS receipt number (or NVC case number if you have it), beneficiary's name and date of birth, and petitioner's name and date of birth.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.
