Goodmorning all!

I'm sorry to hear that Ney...

I'm not quite clear what exactly is AP, my consulate doesn't do that and since Ney's son is the 1st of all us to be put in AP, I've never had to discuss it.

So what exactly is it and what could it mean at this point for Ney's daughter in law? Ney did she did a interview, or they just told her she's in AP? Did they take her passport?

I'm sure I'm wrong but I thought AP was that you're approved but the processing for whatever reason will take a little longer...

Jenn & AandD: goodluck!

Ney, so sorry about the AP - but that means she was approved right?? She just has to wait for all the background checks etc. to be completed?

Jenn, we're thinking about you!! What time is the interview?

Thanks Everyone!!! (L)

AP is additional processing and they tend to do this alot for MENA (Middle East North African) countries. They do additional checks on family names and/or a persons history. AP used to be more likely to happen to men, but it is becoming more common place for anyone. I know most of the females on VJ from Iran have been placed on AP recently. Also, from what I've seen on VJ, AP can last anywhere from two weeks to twelve months (You never know how long it will take and that's the painful part).

They didn't keep her passport, she's already in route back to Iran.

I'm sure with all the good wishes here it will go quickly.

Hi Ney!

Im sorry to hear about how it went down (with turning her around --how weird!-- and AP).

I hope she gets out of AP really quick and your son and her can be together soon!

Maybe because she is female it wont be as long as it can be?
