I applied to lift conditions in April, had my biometrics taken in June, was asked for more documents in July, and received my new green card in August. I went back to my homecountry in July and had no problems coming back to the US. The only thing they told me to do was to bring a copy of my marriage certificate with me next time I travel. They also told me to take my old green card to the closest immigration office. This was not said in the papers they sent me along with my new green card. Good luck everyone!

YAY!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I m just sending in my packet today, and hope it will go as quick as you were.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Congrats.

They asked for 2 affidavits, a statement written by me where I had to say how, when, and where I met my husband, when we got married ect, and then they asked for more bills, financial documents, and tax forms.

Congrats!

That's quick. I received my approval letter from CSC on June 1 and I still haven't received my card yet. I called USCIS in early August about the card, they told me to wait for another 2 weeks, but still not here. What do you guys think? Anything wrong?
