Hello Fellow VJ members,

I would like to share my unpleasant experience during my AOS interview. I had my interview last August 04, 2009 at Las Vegas USCIS local office. It happened to be that the interviewer does not speak very well because he was a mexican and i could hardly understand the words that comes out from his mouth.Sometimes i let him repeat the questions huh!His questions was how we met , he asked pictures when we were still dating with my husband (and i showed him bunch of pics when my husband visited me in the PH).He also ask my husband about how many times he got married and where does he work at.Last thing he asked was our pictures during our marriage, date of our marriage and the chapel where we got married.Seems everything was fine but i was just wondering because he did not told me if I was approve. He only get the attached I-94 in my passport and told us "THat's it," we will just let you know. What does it mean? Does it mean that i am not approve?Oh my....i am very confused and worried thinking about this thing. Does anyone has the same experience like ours? PLs...share your experiences and your insights about this matter.Your answers is highly appreciated.

Just think positive. Usually they will get the I-94 if it's approved. Hang in there. :)

If he took your I-94, that is a fairy good indication you will be approved. If you were denied , I'm sure he would stopped the interview and not taken your I-94.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Usually, they tell you whether you are approved or not. Just like others, I believe you are approved. He took your I94 and that to me is a very good sign.

We had also the interview the same date like yours on August 04, 2009. IO (She) did not say anything whether we were approved or not, the interview itself took about 25 min. I have presented enough documents that we are indeed in Bonafide marriage. Only thing I couldn't give that she has asked is the extract of my BC. Maybe you won't believe me, I am 46 years old, I have never seen nor used that document in my entire life, considering that I have lived in my country Turkey until I was 30 years old, I have completed my compulsory military service & gone to school including the university etc... This is one of the weirdest things happened to me. I did learn that kind of document does exist actually during the AOS interview !....

Anyway she has business mind & so cold personality that is why I couldn't ask so many questions. Right before we left she just said she is going to send a letter very soon. I do not know what about ( I am asssuming a RFE about that document ).

She has also taken the followings from me :

• 2 I-94’s (Original)

• Copy of Civil Marriage Certificate

• Copy of Church Marriage Certificate

• Pre-Cana Certificate (Original)

• Copy of Joint Health Insurance

• Copy of Marriage Reception Place Aggrement

• Copy of Old EAD Approval Letter

• Copy of I-130 Approval

• Copy of G-325A of my wife (Due to loss in my case folder)

I hope this helps you. No matter what we will get GC in the end anyway. I have been living in this country since 1992.

Our IO did not tell us we were approved, I think most don't, but the I-94 was taken! Actually she took it when we weren't looking cuz we didn't realize it was gone till the interview was over. I think there is good news in your future

Ours did not tell us we were approved and neither I-94 nor EAD was taken at the interview but am rolling "green" now. Hang in there, very soon good tidings will come your way!
