You can always attempt a early walk in many members have done that. Some get taken and some do not. where is your BIO scheduled??

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

You can try to go to the office as a walk-in but they may turn you away. I went in early but I had a conflict with the scheduled date. I was hoping they would just process us and they did. Good Luck.

Hi,

Has anybody tried to do a walk-in for biometrics (AOS) in the SACRAMENTO ASC?

My appointment is for Aug-22 which is a Saturday and we have already planned to travel that weekend ...

Thanks!

follow up question once you go walk in earlier in your biometrics what exactly you would tell if they ask you as your appointment is not the actual date you will go....earlier than that.thanks

Just go. Most people do walk ins without any problems; and if they have problems is because they office might be crowded and even then they will tellyou when they are not busy. This question is asked daily on the forums and I'm yet to see somebody saying they were refused on a walk in.

Guys, in this regard, can somebody guide me. I just got three notices a few days ago that they accepted my I-485, I-765 and I 131. I wasn't quite clear about the biometrics. Am I to expect a separate letter from USCIS for that? My local office will be in Chicago.

Thanks in advance

We received our letter the day before yesterday. The biometrics appt is set for Sept 1. I was told we have to call to confirm it. Is that the case? There's nothing on the letter that states so.

Can we walk-in if we don't have any conflicts? The only reason why I think I'd like to get it done earlier is so we can get the show on the road...I mean does it make everything else happen sooner?

Thanks, Ikarus.

In the AOS filers threads I have read a couple of cases that they were refused ... I was wondering how West Sacramento operates ...

I was reading your timeline ... WOW! EAD in 1 month and 10 days? Anything you want to share with us? ;)

Not totally on topic, but an FYI to anyone preparing for biometrics appt soon...

My wife had all the docs they requested on the appt letter, but they also asked for our marriage certificate in order to substantiate her name change. As we were K-1, this seemed to be an odd request, as we had her K1 petition in her maiden name, and filed I-485 in her new name, with the copy of the cert filed along with the I-485.

While odd, this was not a big deal, as I always bring along my binder of all docs of this type anyway when dealing with these matters, so I could present a copy of the cert and the original certified copy that they could examine--and it was no problem at all.

I don't know what would have happened if I'd not had that with me, but I suspect there would be a 50-50 chance of getting the fingerprinting done that day. I'd have hated to make that drive again just for that...

Anyway...anyone with K-1 that involves a name change due to marriage--you may need your marriage cert, even though it is obvious from the K1 process why the name changed. You might be able to argue it, but just having it there with you will save all that and get you out of there as quickly as possible.

Did you try walking in to West Sacramento ASC for biometrics? Did they let you in? I missed mine supposed to be today at 2pm, missed it! I will try going in there tomorrow Saturday morning it says they are open Saturdays. I will post a noticed and let everyone know if I got in. It seems noone cares to share if they got in. I guess I will be the first that will help people in the future reading this board
